Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Our representative will receive you and transfer to the Hotel. Evening: Briefing about the trip in Hotel.
Day 02 - Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu city.
After breakfast: Full day sightseeing tour on private vehicle in Kathmandu city (Syambhunath,Pashupatinath,Boudhanath and Durbarsquare). Overnight at Hotel
Day 03 – Drive or Fly to Pokhara:
Early morning drive to Pokhara on tourist bus or private vehicle takes about 6/7 hours. Overnight at hotel in Lakeside.
Day 04 - Fly to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni:
Early morning transfer to the Airport for Jomsom flight. After Jomsom arrive, we meet the porters and fix the packing and start trekking ahead to Kagbeni via Ekle Bhatti (2810m.). Overnight at Lodge/Camp
Day 05 - Trek to Chele: Trek to Chele takes about 5 to 6 hours. Ascend to Tanbe village and have a look at Nilgiri Peak dominating the northern skyline at Kagbeni. Walk further and discover the origin of Kaligandaki River. Now the trail leaves the Kaligandaki valley and climbs steeply up to Chele. (3030m.). Overnight at Camp.
Day 06 - Trek to Geling:
Trek to Geling takes about 5/6 hours. Ascend through some treeless dry terrain and some Chhortens to Samar. Go up and down to a large gorge and enter another valley. Go ahead and descend to Shyangmochen; Go up to a pass and down to Geling for a rest. (3440m.) Highest elevation in this day is 3800m. Overnight at Camp.
Day 07 - Trek to Charang:
Trek to Charang takes about 6/7 hours. Climb gently to the interesting Nyila pass (3950m) and descend to the valley and the Tangmar Chu (river), the climb the longest and most spectacular and main wall in Nepal. Climb over another passes and descend to Charang. (3490m.). Overnight at Camp.
Day 08 - Trek to Lo-Manthang: Trek to Lo-Manthang takes about 4/5 hours. Go down and cross the Charang Chu 9 river and climb up. There the walled city of Lo is seen. Descend and cross a stream and up into the plateau of Lo Manthang. (3730m.) Overnight at Camp.
Day 09 - 21 May 2011: Lo- Manthang (Tezi festival start):
There are four major temples within the city wall of Lo Manthang. Each of these buildings is locked. The villagers feel it necessary to control access to the temples. The caretaker and the key are available only at certain times, and usually only after a bit negotiation you may be able to enter in side of the Gompas. Overnight at Camp.
Day 10 - 22 May 2011: Lo-Manthang (Tezi festival day):
There are lots to do in Lo Manthang besides visiting the Gompas. Consider renting a horse to visit some of the other village in this area. We spend the better part of the day at the Tezi Festival watching all the dances and celebrations that take place, including horse racing and a giant tug-of-war. We’ll see Tibetan women in their traditional clothing and colorful jewelry, monks in their robes and dancers in elaborate costumes. This is an almost unknown festival that most Nepal trekkers never experience. Overnight at Camp.
Day 11 - 23 May 2011: Lo-Manthang (Tezi festival ends):
This day is either free day or explore further to north of Lo Manthang depending weather and physical condition. Overnight at Camp.
Day 12 - Trek back to Ghami:
Trek to Ghami takes about 5/6 hours. Ascend to a pass offering a last glimpse of Lo Manthang. Descend through two more valleys, meadows and streams. Descend again to Gekar. Lo Gekar Gompa is older than Samye Gompas in Tibet and one of the oldest Gompas in Nepal. Then cross a ridge way down to Ghami. (3460m.) Overnight at Camp.
Day 13 - Trek to Samar:
Trek to Samar takes about 4/5 hours. Climb to Nyila and descend to Samar through the same route. Overnight at Camp.
Day 14 - Trek to Kagbeni. Overnight at Lodge/Camp.
Trek back to Kagbeni takes about 4/5 hours. Overnight at Lodge/Camp.
Day 15 - Trek to Muktinath:
Muktinath is one of the most important Pilgrimage sights to both Hindus and Buddhists. Muktinath is also a home to many ethnic Tibetans and holy Buddhists. Miraculously a fire burns in water by the temple. Overnight at Lodge/Camp.
Day 16 - Trek to Jomsom.
It is around 5 hours trekking and you will arrive Jomsom at Lunch hour. Overnight at Lodge/Camp
Day 17 - Fly to Pokhara:
Early morning fly to Pokhara and transfer to the hotel at lakeside: Afternoon is free for own sightseeing in lakeside or rest in Hotel.
Day 18 - Drive to Kathmandu:
Drive back to Kathmandu or take a 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu. Evening: Cultural Dinner Program. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 19 - Final Departure:
