Eastern Region Trekking in Nepal includes an eastern approach to Everest, the Makalu Base Camp and the Kanchenjunga. The eastern region of Nepal is remote. So, it is not very popular like other parts, even this region offers endless variety of places to explore, hiking climbing and village excursion tour. Eastern region have the ethnic cast like Rai, Tamang, Sherpa, Limbu etc having their own culture. The places like Basantapur, Dhankuta, Hile, Khandbari and Bhojpur are prosperous and clean. This area is also famous for tea growing area, ilam tea is famous in Nepal. To make trips to eastern mountains, either domestic flight or long journey by bus is necessary. The main domestic airports are Tumlingtar, Lamidada and Taplejung which have direct connect with Kathmandu. Kanchanjunga at 8598 m is the world’s third-highest mountain lies on the border of Nepal and Sikkim. The main attraction of this area are panoramic views of eastern mountains, Kumbakarna, Jannu Peak, Tent Peak, Givigela Chule, Chang Himal, Pathibhara, Olangchumgola (Newly opened), Pumori, Arun valley etc. This region is actually rich of its flora and fauna specially Medicine plants.
