If you are more adventerious and have some knowledge already about the alpine mountaineering then, you may extend your trekking days to Island peak via kongmala pass. You may even extend your holidays crossing Tasi Lapche pass , Henjo La, Kangchu La, Chola Col, Changri La, Amphu La, Mingbo La and the Sherpini Col to Makalu and Peaks to Climb – See our Mountaineering section.
Suggested Itinerary : 16 Days.
Day 01. Receive you in Kathmandu international airport then transfer to hotel.
Day 02: preparation for trekking and half day sightseeing around swayambhunath stupa and Kathmandu durbar square. Transfer back to hotel.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (45 mins) – 2840 m. Then trek to Bengkor - 2630m.
Day 04. Trek to the Namche Bazaar (3444 m). 3-4 hour walk and stay at Shangrila Lodge.
Day 05. Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. Hike up to Syangaboche top to have a great views of Khumbu Himalayas including the best views of Everest, Lhotse, Aamdablam and more.
Day 06. Trek to Phortse Tenga (3680m). Accommodation in Lodge
Day 07. Trek to Dole (4085 m), Accommodation in Lodge
Day 08. Trek to Machhermo (4470 m). 4 hours walking. Accommodation in Lodge
Day 09. Trek to Gokyo (4790 m). 4.5 hours walk.
Day 10. Exploration the Gokyo valley. Either to go to Cho Oyu glacier or climb up to Gokyo Ri for the best views.
Day 11. Climb to Gokyo Ri (5360m). Having breakfast in Gokyo, trek down all the way to Luza.
Day 12. Trek back to – Sanasa (3520 m)
Day 13. Trek descend to Namche Bazar. Sightseeing in Tibetan Market. Trek down to Bengkar. Tea house accommodation.
Day 14. Trek to Lukla. Confirmation the flight back to kathmandu. Tea house accommodation
Day 15. Having breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Then transfer to hotel.
Day 16. Drop to Kathmandu international airport for your onward flights.
