Mera Peak is officially the highest trekking peak in the Himalayas of Nepal. The trek begins through the remote, heavily forested and largely uninhabited Hinku valley. The ascent of Mera is generally technically straightforward, requiring little more then crampons and ice axe. The team of Gokyo Treks fix ropes where necessary and our trained guides and professional Sherpas will assist you as much as possible.
After an exciting mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, trek begins. Then walk along a high rocky ridge through dense forests and across several streams before reaching the pass that will take us into the Hinku valley. Trekking and camping in this wild land of Himalayan pine forests is indeed an impressive experience. At Tangnang, we will rest and explore the huge moraine and the beautiful glacial lake north of the village. We will proceed to Khare (5,099m) and establish camp. Our ascent will follow the glacier that leads to Mera – La (5415m) and on to High camp (5800m) where we will prepare for our early morning summit. From high camp, we can take in a sweeping view of Kanchanjunga, Chamlang, Makalu to the east, Everest and Lhotse to the north and Ama Dablam and Cho oyu to the west. Getting Mera summit, trek back down the valley to Lukla. By tradition Gokyo Treks & Expedition buys the beers in Kathmandu for you !

Day 01 : All about international transfer Â
Day 02 :Â Sightseeing in Kathmandu, shopping and packing.
Day 03 :Â Early morning flight to Lukla (2800m) Overnight in Lodge.
Day 04 :Â Lukla to Chutenga (3350m) Camp.
Day 05 :Â Chutenga to over Zatrela pass overnight at Chatrarbu (4340m)
Day 06 :Â Chatrabu to Kothe (3700m) Camp.
Day 07 :Â Kothe to Thagnak (4356m) Camp.
Day 08 :Â Thanak Rest for Acclimatization Camp.
Day 09 :Â Thanak to Khare (4900m) Camp.
Day 10 :Â Khare to Mera La (5200m) For Glacier training & back to khare
Day 11 :Â Khare to Mera High Camp (5800m) Camp.
Day 12 :Â High Camp to Mera Summit (6476m) & return back to Khare
Day 13 :Â A spare Day incase of Bad weather
Day 14 :Â Khare to Kothe Camp (3700m) Camp.
Day 15 :Â Kothe to Chatrabu Camp (4340m) Camp.
Day 16 :Â Chatrabu to Lukla overnight in Lodge (2800m) Lodge.
Day 17 :Â Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 18 :Â Free day in Kathmandu
Day 19 :Â Transfer to International Airport and fly home.
