Tenzing Hillary Eve rest Marathon is stated to organize on May 29, every year, Since the name of Tenzing and Hillary has been associated with Mt. Everest, marathon will be a most befitting tribute to these great souls who climbed Mt. Everest for the first time in the history of human civilization.
The start line of the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon is at Everest Base camp 5356m (17,149 feet) in Nepal. The marathon finish at the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar at 3446m (11,300 feet) and the course is a measured 42.195 km (26.2 miles) over rocky mountain trails.
For acclimatizing to the high altitude all runners of the Everest Marathon are requested to be in Nepal three weeks prior to the race. There may be snow and ice on the upper part and there is considerable exposure along much of the route of the marathon. Experience of rough terrain is essential for Everest Marathon and road marathon experience is not sufficient to run Everest Marathon.
Your acclimization trek begins with a sweeping scenic flight to Lukla. Then trek starts from Lukla following many farm villages enroute with beautiful views of the high snow capped peaks of the world, and to the highest spot at Kalapatar for the outstanding breathtaking view panorama of peaks and its glacier including Mt. Everest

Day 03: (May 16): Group departure to Lukla
Day 04: (May 17): Lukla to Phakding (9,321 Ft.)
Day 05: (May 18): Phankding to Namche Bazaar
Day 06 - 07: (May 19, 20): Rest & explore syangaboche village
Day 08: (May 21Trek to Thyangboche Monastery (12,683 Ft)
Day 09: (May 22): Trek to Dingboche (1 4,464 Ft.)
Day 10: (May 23): Acclimatization day In Dingboche
Day 11: (May 24): Trek to Lobuche (16,105 Ft.)
Day 12: (May 25): Trek to Gorak Shep (16,859 Ft.) - Lobuche (16,105 Ft.)
Day 13: (May 26): Trek to Gorak Shep (16,859 Ft.)
Day 14: (May 27: Trek to Everest Base Camp (17,593 Ft)
Day 15: (May 28): Rest day at Everest Base Camp (17.593 Ft.)
Day 16: (May 29): Race day - Race Will Commence At 7am.
Namche Bazaar - Finish Line
Day 17: (May 30):Trek down to Benkar.
Day 18: (May 31): Trek to Lukla. And relax for the rest time.
Day 19: (Jun 01): At morning, around 8 AM fly back to Kathmandu
Day 20: (Jun 02): Full day sightseeing in World Heritage site Bhaktapur and stay one night in Planet Hotel in Bhaktapur
Day 21: (June 03): Finally drop you the International airport kathmandu. |
