Annapurna South Expedition takes you well off the beaten trail, on to long, remote mountain ridges, through exposit forest and to visit traditional villages. Views of the Annapurna and the gigantic mass of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre are utterly breathtaking and complement many of our phenomenal campsites during this classic 23 treks and expedition to Annapurna South.
One and half hour drive to Nayapul from Pokhara our walk begins in the lower, more temperate region of forested hillsides such as Magar and Gurung villages. As we move higher through the rhododendron woodlands the views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre are astounding. On reaching Kopra Ridge our campsite is right below Mt. Annapurna 1st. Trails goes up to the sacred lake above Kair, a marvelous alpine experience. We set up the Base Camp for climbing to Mt. Annapurna South. After finishing expedition trek back to Pokhara takes us via Ghorepani and Poon Hill for one of the most famous panoramas point in the Annapurna.
Beside this, there is another route for climb to Annapurna south from east to North West route that trail start from Phedi and Chhomrong Village to ABC
Suggested itinerary: 33 Days
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer hotel.
Day 02-03: Kathmandu official work & preparation for expedition
Day 04: Drive to Pokhara then transfer to the hotel. If you have time half day sightseeing with guide.
Day 05: Drive dhampus village & trek to Pothana.
Day 06: Trek from Pothana to Jhinu ( Hot spiring)
Day 07: Trek from Jhinu to Bomboo.
Day 08: Trek from Bomboo - Himalaya Hotel.
Day 09: Himalayan Hotel – Machapucherre Base camp
Day 10: Machapuchere Base – Annapurna South Base camp Day 11-23 Climbing Period Annapurna South.
Day 24: Annapurna South – Himalayan Hotel
Day 25: Himalayan Hotel - Sinuwa top
Day 26: Sinuwa top – Ghurjung / Chuli
Day 27: Trek from Chuli - Tadapani village
Day 28: Trek from Tadapani - Ghorepani Village
Day 29: Trek from Ghorepani village - Hile village
Day 30: Trek from hile village -Nayapool. Then drive back to Pokhara. Tansfer to hotel
Day 31: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu ( rest time explore the city by yourself)
Day 32: Explore the kathmandu valley by yourself.
Day 33: Departure to the Airport for your onward destination.
