Tibet Namatso hiking - tour passes through glaciated valleys and mountains of the Nyenchen Thanglha range to the pebbled shores of the Namtso lake. Surrounded by spectacular snow-covered mountains, it is a place of desolate beauty and the site of a holy hermitage that draws pilgrims from all over Tibet. During the summer months the wide open spaces are filled with nomad herders and their herds of yaks and tents � a heart touching sight. We also visit sacred spots, holy shrines, and the bird sanctuary. The other highlight of this trip is a visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery, Sakya Monastery & Rongbuk Monastery.

Day 1: Transfer to the airport and fly to the Gongkar airport.
Day 02-03: Full day sightseeing in Lhasa
Day 04: Drive to Yangpachen (4324 m) & further on to Damshung (4130 m). Camp
Day 05: Trek through glaciated valley & camp (7-8 hrs)
Day 06: Cross Kong La & descend to a broad basin & hike along green meadows (6-7 hrs)
Day 07: Trek to Namtso Lake & Camp (7-8 Hrs)
Day 08: Rest & exploration day at Tashi Do
Day 09: Drive Namtso Lake to Lhasa. O/N Hotel.
Day 10: Drive Lhasa to Gyangtse (3990 m), 350 km & visit Kubum stupa & Pelkor Chode Monastery.
Day 11: Drive Gyangtse to Shalu-Shigatse (3860 m), 90 km & visit Tashilhunpo Monastery.
Day 12: Drive Shigatse to Sakya-Shegar/Tingri(4350 m) & visit Sakya Monastery.
Day 13: Drive Shegar to Rongbuk (5050 m) & visit Rongbuk Monastery.O/N at Rongbuk Guest House.
Day 14: Drive Rongbuk to Nyalam.O/N at Nyalam Guest House.
Day 15: Drive Nyalam to Zhangmu-Kathmandu.
Day 16: Leisure day in Kathmandu
