Around Kathmandu valley hiking is possible throughout the year. There are several small hill station towns which have beautiful location, sun rise view and many more can be observed from here. Chisapani, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel and Shivapuri are famous for hiking among travelers. Chisapani is a popular mountain view spot near Kathmandu and about 5 hrs walk from Sundarijal. This cool and beautiful place offers close view ofHimalayan ranges It is one of the most popular mountain resort destinations in the Kathmandu Valley Rim Located 30 km east of Kathmandu. Another hiking destination Nagarkot, which offers superb mountain views during the sunrise and sunseting across the wide Himalayan range. It is also the starting point of the valley rim trek for those who are in Nepal for short stay. Situated at about 30 miles covered in 45 minute drive to the east of Kathmandu on the Arniko highway, lies a small town of Dhulikhel. Nestled in the laps of Himalayas, the place offers a breathtaking view of the northeastern part of the mountains. Dhulikhel at a height of 1550m is host to some beautiful traditional buildings. The local people living there are called Newars. The entire Shivapuri area is a protected area that is home to endangered bird and animal species, including rare species such as leopards, jungle cats and Himalayan Black Bears. Hikers can also see a large variety of mushroom species, approximately127 bird species and 102 different species of butterflies |

Day 01 : Drive to Dhulikel and start trek to Namobuddha (4 hrs) - camp.
Day 02 : Namobuddha trek to Balthali (4-5 hrs) - camp.
Day 03 : Balthali trek to Bebar Danda (6-7 hrs) - camp
Day 04 : Bebar Danda trek to Lakuri banjayanj (approx. 6 hrs) - camp
Day 05 : Trek to Godawari (3 hours) & drive back to Kathmandu |
