We booked our trek to everest base camp via Ammar at Gokyo Treks.
He booked our flights, organise our trekking permits, and guide. He also advised us how much we would need to spend each day whilst trekking. Whilst we were booking our trek with Ammar we met a guide who had just returned from EBC who told us what to expect.
When we arrived in Lukla we were met by our guide. We did have to book a porter after two days but our guide was helpful in arranging this. Ammar kept in touch with us during our trek to see how we were and to check the trek was going well.
I would definitely recommend booking a trek with Gokyo Treks – everything was really well organized and easy, he gave us all the information we needed and the guide he organized was good. The best Everest Base Camp hiking with Kala Pattar trek
Ammar the owner of the company gave me a feeIing of being in good hands responding so fast and accurate to the my many mails prior to the trek. Arrived in Kathmandu I contacted him. He sent me one of his colleagues to escort me to the new place of the office. Which was to be honest not so easy to find. But with Ammars collegue of cause no problem. There were still a lot of constructions at the house so Ammar was quite busy when I met him for the first time. Nevertheless he made time for me and answered my last questions.
The trek itself was an unforgetable journey through the heart of Solukhumbu. Actually the plan was to cross Chola Pass and go for Gokyo Ri too but unfortunately the pass was closed due to the snow. But even without Chola and Gokyo it was my most memeroable holiday so far. So I will not hesitate to highly recommend Gokyo Treks & Expeditions. Thank you for this adventure. – Thorsten Schaefer, Kassel, Germany
Everest Base Camp trek via Chola Pass and Gokyo lakes
I recently completed my wish list of going to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo with the assistance from Gokyo Treks and Expedition, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with the company. Ever since I contacted Gokyo Treks, Ammar Guni has assisted me with lots of decisions and given me advice, from what to expect on my trip to what are the essentials needed.
I was greeted warmly by Ammar when I touched down at Kathmandu airport, stayed at his house, and had a nice dinner with his family. Ammar even walked me to Thamel to get remaining essentials for my trip, and he made it so much easier since I’m not local.
While trekking, I was assigned a guide who became friend, Tej Regmi, a thoughtful guide and genuine at doing his work. He gave full attention, especially when crossing Chola Pass glacier which is dangerous. Tej even suggested alternative trekking routes since I was finishing my trip earlier than expected. The best is, friends who I knew along my trip even complimented him for being thoughtful.
Overall, I’m very happy with services by Ammar and his team, and for me, their actions have spoken louder than words. Thanks for the great experience Gokyo Treks and Expedition! I strongly recommend them if you’re visiting Nepal. – Zhafir Mustafa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
