Naya Kang climbing is situated at 19,180 feet in Langtang region in Nepal. It is one of the easier trekking peaks, just to the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang valley.

Langtang Naya Kanga peak climbing offers an excellent view of the Ganesh Himal family, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya Kanga peak, Shishapangma, etc with Tamang culture and gorgeous landscapes.

Climbing at Ganja la chuli enables you to explore through the Langtang National Park home of the Tibetan face of Tamang people and their cultures. The trip commences from Syabrubensi to the farmland, villages, and Rhododendron forest, conifer, bamboos, oaks, and pines.

In the spring season, Langtang forest looks enchanting with flowers all around. Furthermore passing fascinating scenery, we follow the narrow gorge of Langtang River until we ascend to the large alpine grassland of Kyangin Gompa where the glacier meets the meadow.

Yaks grazing around with the backdrops of snowy peaks of Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Dorjee Lakpa, and many other unnamed mountains around you. Adventure Naya Kanga climbing excursion is possible at any time (except winter) throughout the year.

Naya Kang climbing itinerary detail

The particular Naya Kang peak climbing route is designed for beginners climber who wishes to climb to the high passes mountain peaks about 6000 meters. Alpine climber speaks Ganja la chuli is also the Naya Kang peak. Travelers who wish climbing and hiking in a more relaxed manner try this itinerary. 01 Day Arrival at Kathmandu valley

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, we will receive you with private vehicle and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast plan. Our representative will brief you Naya Kanga climbing information programs.

02 DayWorld heritage site of Kathmandu valley sightseeing, 7 hours.

After breakfast the day will start with our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; including visits to the pilgrimage sites of Hindus Pashupatinath temple, the world biggest Boudhanath stupa, visit Swayambhu mark as a monkey temple and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with the temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess) in central Kathmandu. In the evening, introduce our climbing crew and brief them about your Ganjala chuli peak climbing.

03 Day Overland drive to Syabrubensi Bazaar (1,462m/4,795 feet), 7 hrs

At morning we’ll drive on a northern highway that twists and climbs over mountain ridges to the Trishuil valley for lunch and on to Syabru village for the overnight. Now the road way is fully black topped. The amazing bus drive takes about 7 hours through picturesque landscapes, mountain scenery and local villages.

04 Day Lama Hotel trek (2,470m/8,102 feet) , 5 hrs

After breakfast, trek ascends through the forest followed by a climb to reach Bamboo village. Bamboo is located on the Langtang river bank at an altitude of 1,850 meters. This forested path with well establish trails and following upstream and can be seen bird’s life around the bushes. Beehives hanging on a cliff are another attraction for the visitors. From here we’ll again steeply climb through the bamboo forest to reach the Lama Hotel where we’ll stay overnight.

05 Day Langtang village trekking (3,430m/11,250 feet), 5 hours

From Lama Hotel, the trail leads through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples and rhododendron observing glimpses of Langtang Lirung, reaches to Gumanchok (2800m). Climb to Ghora Tabela (2,970m) and further ascends to Thangshyap (3,140m/10,300 feet). On the way, there is an entrance checkpoint where entrance fees are collecting by the Military. The hiking trail goes further climbs to Langtang village, was totally collapsed in 2015 after the massive earthquake disaster. 06 Day Kyanjin Gompa hikes (3,870m/12,694 feet), 3 hrs

The path is scenic climbs gradually to Sindum and to Yamphu (3640m) to Mundo. Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Kinshung. As you climbed the hill, walk a little down to reach kyanjin gompa lodges. You might go further to the Langtang glacier – Langtang river and its origin.

07 Day Kyanjing Ridge day hikes. Or full-day Tsergo Ridge hiking, 6 hrs

Explore around the Langtang Lirung glacier and dry Himalayan Yak pasture. We need to take a packed lunch as a full day hike takes about 7 hours roughly to get Tsergo Ri. We climb to Tsergo Ridge hill only if the weather is clear with a blue sky. In clear weather, you can see stunning mountain vistas like Langtang Lirung, Ganjala Chuli, Yala peak, Dorje Lakpa, and many other summits in a row.

08 Day Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4,100m/13,452 feet), 5 hours

Langtang valley hikes continue to Langtang river, cross river and steep ascend through a forest of rhododendron and juniper. Furthermore, the moraine trail reaches the yak pasture at Ngegang kharka where the Yaks are grazing peacefully. Stay overnight in Tent Camp at Ngegang.

09 Day Hike at Naya Kanga High Camp (4,960m/16,274 feet), 5 hours

The outdoor climbing trail is steep ascent until you reach High Camp. You trek along the rocky and icy glacier. This day also you can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko ri, Ganchenpo peak, Kibgyu Ri, Yansi Tsenji peak and few others.

10 Day: Naya Kanga peak summit climbing (5,846m/19,180 feet). Return to Nayakanga Kharka, 8 hours

During the summit climbing day, you might descend downhill until you cross a suspension bridge over Langtang river. Continue the tough trail for about 45 minutes to reach at Kyangjin Gompa lodge.

11 Day: Reserve day for contingency in case of bad weather

There is no guarantee that we can get quite a favorable weather on our plan day reaching at summit, so this day is used as a contingency in case if we are unable to submit or some other reasons. If the weather gets exceptionally unfavorable we wisely have to postpone the program to reach the summit. If the trip goes smoothly, we do not need this spare day.

12 Day Trek descend to Ghoda tabala, 7 hours

From Kyanjin gompa of langtang villages to Ghoda Tabala takes around 7 hours of walk.

13 Day Syabrubesi trek, 7 hours

The upper part trek route is more attractive for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Sherpa and Tamang villages. The first half part of the track is gradually down and does steeply descent to the Syabrubesi (1,600m/5,248 feet.). Nowadays, Syabrubesi bazaar is a very popular hamlet because of a connecting highway to kerung border, Tibet.

14 Day Drive back to Kathmandu.

Drive back to Kathmandu by Kerung Deluxe Yatayat bus which takes about 7 hours to get Kathmandu city center.

15 DayFinal departure day

Drop you in Kathmandu International Airport onward your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you your wonderful journey.

Answer: Yes sure. Provide us your flight detail and request for pickup. Our representative will come to pick up you at Kathmandu international airport.

Question: Do I need experience for Naya Kang climbing trek?

Answer: Actually Yala peak trek trip is suitable for experienced trekkers who can walk roughly about 4 or 5 hours in a day, with a lightweight daypack because as you are going climbing, you need to have experience in high altitude – somehow about 3000 meters above sea level.

Question: What kind of accommodation can I expect for Naya Kang climbing?

Answer: We provide you tourist standard accommodation in Kathmandu and during the trekking normal but the rooms are clean cozy bed with a nice mattress and blankets. However, we recommend you take your own sleeping bags if you have one with you otherwise, you may rent them while you are in Kathmandu.

Question: What kind of food can I expect in Naya Kang climbing?

Answer: All the lodges along the Langtang hike routes they have attached restaurants and they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, rice, bread, soups, fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season)

The dinner and breakfast are provided in the same lodge you spend the night every day and Lunch will be provided on the way to the next place where you are going. However, for climbing days you will have climbing food and hot drinks.

Question: What opportunities will I have for a shower along Naya Kang climbing trek?.

Answer: Lodge trek all the lodges they have a shower which you can get it on pay.

Question: How do I get drinking water on Naya Kang climbing?.

Answer: There are all places hotels and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. We recommend you bring chlorine tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available at the campsite along the way.

Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: During the guest house trekking there will be chances to charge the battery on pay. We recommend you bring an extra pair in case. Remember to bring your adapters! And we recommend you to take extra batteries along with you.

Question: Are there any communication facilities on Naya Kang climbing?.

Answer: In this trek route, you can get telephone services as well as internet services.

Question: Can I use credit cards in Ganjala chuli climbing?.

Answer: No. You need to have cash Nepali rupees because credit cards work only in the bigger cities or in luxury hotels.

Question: When should I book my trip and what are the payment terms?.

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. We will, of course, make every effort to accommodate last-minute bookings.

And regarding the deposit, we prefer a 20% advance deposit of the total price of the trip in order to confirm your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And the rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Kathmandu.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on express Naya Kang climbing?.

Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, our every porter carry a maximum of 25 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12.5 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?.

Answer: When walking/trekking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to a gradient, terrain, and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however, you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 5 hours each day.

Question: Do I need walking poles for Naya Kang climbing?

Answer: It is better to walk with walking poles. Learn how to use trekking poles for balance and stability, whether on the sidewalk or on trails. Walking poles can help prevent slips and falls. They are just recommended but not compulsory.

Question: Where can I organize my person climbing gears?

Answer: If you have those climbing gears at your home then bring them along with you. If you don’t have them then you can rent them in Kathmandu.

Question: How much additional money do I need per day?.

Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for a lunch/dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee, and some drinks while you are on trek.
