Day 1 Arrived at Kathmandu valley

Day 2 Drive to Pokhara (1015 m), Transfer to hotel Fewa lakeside, 7 hrs

Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara city. While on a tourist bus journey, you will have beautiful landscapes with colorful rice terraces. Reaching Pokhara takes about 7 hours by Bus/car and 25 minutes by flight. In the afternoon you will be with your trekking Guide to Observe the Natural Beautiful Fewa lake in Pokhara.

Day 3 Drive to Nayapul (1050m), 1:30 hrs. Trek to Tikhedunga (1577m/ 5,157 ft), 4 hours

After having breakfast at hotel we start our driving to Nayapul which takes approximately 90 minutes. Then we conducts our journey to Tikhedhunga passing over Birethanti (1065m.) bazaar. It is an easy hike passing through several small villages and settlements. Afterwards we ascend gently to the final destination of the day. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 4 Trek to Ghorepani village (2680m / 8,764 ft), 6 Hours

Today, we ascend steeply for the first 2 hours and then ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti. During the journey, you will see good view of Machhapuchhare known as mount Fish Tail (6997m.), mount Hiunchuli (6441m.) and as well as Annapurna (7219m) south. Now, our trail is quite easier passing through Rhododendron and shadowy trees and ascends gently up to the final camp at Ghorepani village. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 5Hike to Poon Hill (3220m/ 10,530 ft), Trek to Tadapani hill (2650m/ 8,666 ft), 6 hours

Today very early in the morning, we hike together to Poon Hill to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow-capped mountains.

Hike down to Ghorepani village, have a hot breakfast at Lodge and trek to Tadapani (2650 m.). Most part of the trail, we trek through Rhododendron forest, the beautiful flower makes the jungle colorful in spring when they bloom. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 6Trek to Chomrong village (2100m/ 6,867 ft), 5 hours

It is very easy trek by descending gently all the way through Rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests. We will hear different kinds of birds chirping on the way to Kimrung Khola. Than ascend immediately steeply and walk at a level for 50 minutes and gently steeps and flat to Chomrong which is the only one gateway to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Some people spell as a ABC trekking.

Day 7Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2870m/9,385 ft), 7 hours

Today, we will our first step with stone step to the river Chomrong, cross the river and hike to Sinuwa village where, there are few lodges. Walking with dense forest to bamboo place. Where there are some lodges and guest house too. On the way, we will see the wildlife like wild boar, monkey, rhesus and other wild birds including Danphe pheasant. Then arrival at Himalayan hotel where we stay overnight.

Day 8Trek to Machapuchhare Base Camp (3700m /12,099 ft), 6 hours

We start to go over Deurali viewpoint and walk further to MBC. There are two different trails ahead of us; we follow the best way according to the season to Bagar and to MBC. These areas are the most possibility for avalanches and always be careful during the journey.

You should have good information from your experienced guide who is organizing by Gokyo Treks & Expedition, before you start your journey to Fish Tail base camp. Take it seriously because there are already a lot of people who lost their lives here from viewpoint to Bagar. The trail after bagar to Fishtail base camp is nice and safe.

Day 9Hike to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13,505 ft) & descend down to Dovan

Today, we walk all the way uphill to the base camp 13,435 ft. The annapurna base camp trek 10 days or 12 days follows the left-hand tributary of the Modi khola. You can see the sunrise with a natural Panoramic spectacular view from the viewpoint of ABC.

Day 10Trek to Jhinu Hot spring (1500m/4,905 ft), 6 hours

The trail descends to Jhinu Danda leads through bamboo and Rhododendron forest with superb mountain views from Sinuwa village. Have in mind, the trail from Dovan to Bamboo is most subject to avalanches also. Then trail leads down and up to stone steps to Chhomrung village. And then descend down to Jhinu Danda where we can enjoy with natural hot spring located on the Modi River banks. Stay overnight at Jhinu danda

Day 11Trek to Tolka (1700m /5,559 ft) passing via Landruk village, 6 hours

After breakfast you will head downhill through bamboo bushes. You will then cross a suspension bridge leading you to a water mill. From there, the trail follows along the river bank to Himalpani. Still following the river and climbing uphill, you will arrive in the village of Landruk. It is home to the Gurung (a kind of Ethnic groups of Nepal) people. You can stop for a lunch break and head on through the valley. It is a beautiful stroll along the horizon. The next stop is Tolka, located on a hillside with fine mountain views. Here, you will spend the night. Stay overnight at Tolka village

Day 12Trek to Dhampus (1650m /5,396 ft) passing Deurali hill station, 6 hours

The trek begins downhill and offers views of the Annapurna mountain range. You will pass more Gurung villages allowing you to see the huge farming communities. Furthermore, you will arrive in Deurali pass located at an altitude of 2,500m / 8,175 ft where you can experience an almost best view of Annapurna massive with beautiful Pokhara city.

You descend downhill walking to reach Gurung village Pothana than having lunch there, you will descend again downhill to get Dhampus village. Dhampus is a very pleasant village to spend the night in. O/N at Lodge with full board basis.

Day 13Trek to Dhampus Phedi, Then drive to Fewa lakeside Pokhara, 4 hours

From Dhampus hill, you walk through the rice terraces and small Gurung cottages to get foot hill which we use to call Dhampus Phedi. When we reach at Phedi than we take a private taxi/car to reach your hotel in Fewa lakeside Pokhara. It is popular for its ambient lakeside and fine views of the Annapurna. The rest of the time, you can relax sitting on the bank of Fewa lake or shopping or whatever.

Day 14Drive to Kathmandu

Morning we’ll drive back through the scenic countryside and during the route will stop for breakfast & lunch. It takes 7 hours back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu guide will transfer to the hotel and rest of the day relax or explore the surrounding areas and overnight at hotel.

Day 15Final departure day

Drop you in Kathmandu International Airport onward your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you your wonderful journey back to home.

Question: Do I need the experience to do Annapurna base camp trek?

Answer: Actually Not ! But it is suitable for keen trekkers/walkers who are able to walk around 4 or 5 hours in a day, with a lightweight daypack. For this trekking, if you have about the little experience would be better.

Question: What kind of accommodation can I expect on Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

Answer: We provide you tourist standard accommodation in Kathmandu and during the trekking routes. the rooms along the routes are clean with a cozy bed with a nice mattress and blankets. However we recommend you to take your own sleeping bags if you have one with you otherwise, you may rent it while you are in Kathmandu.

Question: What kind of food can I expect in this trek?

Answer: All the guest houses/lodges in Annapurna Base Camp Trek, they have attached restaurant and they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, dhal bhat, bread, soups, fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season)
The dinner and breakfast are provided in the same lodge you spend the night every day and Lunch will be provided on the way to the next place where you are going.

Question: What opportunities will I have for a shower along Annapurna base camp trekking?

Answer: All the guest houses along the trekking routes they provide shower, so no worries.

Question: How do I get drinking water on abc Trekking?

Answer: During the trekking route there are all places hotel and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. Instead, we provide you with boiled water or bringing chlorine tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available in campsite/along the way.

Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: On lodge trekking, there will be more chances to charge the battery. We recommend you bring an extra pair for in case. Remember to bring your own adapters!

Question: Is there any communication facilities on lodge Annapurna base camp Trekking?

Answer: In this trekking route you can get telephone services as well as internet services as well.

Question: Can I use credit cards in Trekking?

Answer: Not yet! So, for the trekking routes, you need to have cash Nepali rupees because credit cards work only in the bigger city areas.

Question: When should I book my trip and what is the payments terms?

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. We will, of course, make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings.
And regarding the deposit, we prefer 20 % advance deposit of the total price of the trip in order to confirm your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And the rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Nepal.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on express Annapurna base camp Trek?

Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, each of our porters carries a maximum of 25 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12.5 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?

Answer: When walking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to a gradient, terrain, and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however, you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 5 hours each day.

Question: Is it possible to rent a guide? how to hire a local trek guide?

Answer: Yes of course. If you are not happy to go with the complete full board package trip, still you can hire our expert guide to make your holiday tour safer. However, visit a guide and porter hire or email us for your detail travel inquiry.

Question: Do I need walking polls?

Answer: Walking pools are recommended but not compulsory.

Question: How much additional money do I need per day?

Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for a lunch/dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee, and some drinks while you are on trek.
