Everest comfort trekking detail itinerary

Our Everest comfort or Everest luxury trek has a short itinerary compared to most walks in this region leading up to the Syangeboche hill station. The particular route is designed for globe trotters who wish to hike in the spectacular mountain but are travelling within a luxury or comfort styles and are under the restricted with time bound. However if this itinerary is not fit you than send us inquiry for tailor made itinerary.

Day 1 Arrived at Kathmandu valley

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, we will receive you with private vehicle and transfer to hotel Moonlight within BB plan, located in Paknajol, Thamel. Moonlight is a boutique style hotel located in quiet area with nice garden. in Kathmandu . Our representative will give you information about further programs.

Day 2World heritage site of Kathmandu valley sightseeing.

After breakfast the day will start to our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; including visits to the pilgrimage sites of Hindus Pashupatinath temple, the world biggest Bouddhanath Stupa, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess) in central Kathmandu . Evening pre-trip discussion and introduce with our fellow trekking staff for your adventure trip.

Day 3 Fly to Lukla (2886m/9,437 ft). Trek to Phakding (2640m /8,633 ft.), 4 hours

We take early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, upon arrival at Lukla, we would be refreshed in one of the hotels and then start our trek to Phakding (2640 m) village where your luxury hotel YETI Mountain Home is located. We trek following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi. Nupla (5885m) can be seen in a stone throwing distance on the opposite bank. During the journey, we pass several Sherpa tiny villages and finally we reach at Phakding village and check in hotel.

Day 4 Trek to Namche Bazzar (3440m/11,249 ft.), 6 hours

The trail climbs from the riverbed on the Koshi river bank, crossing 2 times, we reach at tiny Monjo village. We then come to Sagarmatha National Park office where a park entrance fee is to pay. We follow a short walk along the riverbed of this valley where the major river meets each other. Crossing over the Hillary bridge, trek begin steep ascent to Namche Bazar. On the way, we have an excellent views of Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m.). Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazar (3440m) is a central hub of the area for food, trekking gears and other necessary goods. As we arrive in Namche Bazaar, we check in Yeti Mountain Home luxury hotel to stay overnight.

Day 5Trek to Khumjung (3789m/ 12,390 ft) via Sengboche hill, 3 hours

We start with a steep one-hour climb to the Sengboche airstrip (3790m), from where we will slowly ascent towards Khunde passing numerous chorten (stone Buddhist monuments) and hill station. We go to hill station to have an excellent view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and many other snow capped mountains within 360 deg angle. Then we walk further to Khumjung village which is the largest village in Khumbu, at the foothill of the sacred peak Khumbila. We can also visit Khhumjung monastery. It is a small settlement of Sherpa community. We again stay overnight at Yeti Mountain Home luxury hotel.

Day 6Trek descend down hill to Monjo (2840m /9,287 ft), 7 hours

Today we return to Namche Bazaar with the same way and then descend down hill walking to Hillary bridge. We cross the river and follow it to Jorsale, then on to Monjo where we stay overnight in Yeti Mountain Home luxury hotel.

Day 7Trek to Lukla bazzar (2886 m/9,337 ft.), 8 hours

We trek to Lukla with the same trail like we use on ascend. It is the last day of our trekking. Upon arrival at Lukla Bazaar, we stay overnight in Yeti Mountain Home luxury hotel, get refreshed, confirm the flight for next morning and take rest.

Day 8Scenic Mountain flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

We board our early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, we would be received by our representatives and transfer to hotel Moonlight Pankajol, Thamel Kathmandu. In the afternoon, go for shopping or request us to discover Kathmandu as a guided trip on additional cost.

Day 9Final departure day

Drop you in Kathmandu International Airport onward your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you your wonderful journey!!!

Answer: Yes sure !! If you provide us your flights details then you should do request then our representative will come to pick up you on Kathmandu international airport.


Question: Do I need experience for Everest Comfort trekking?

Answer: Actually for this kind of trekking is suitable for keen trekkers/walkers who are able to walk around 4 or 5 hours in a day, with a light weight day pack. For this trekking – yes, you need to have experience in high altitude – somehow about 2000 meter above sea level.

Question: What kind of accommodation can I expect on Everest Comfort trekking?

Answer: We provide you luxury accommodation in Kathmandu and during the trekking routes as described above on the itinerary. However we recommend you to take your own sleeping bags if you have one with you otherwise, you may rent it while you are in Kathmandu.

Question: What kind of food can I expect in Everest Comfort trek?

Answer: As you are staying overnight in Luxury hotel, you will have buffet breakfast and dinner as the hotel provided however you will have lunch on the way and you will have meal menu to choose what you want to have.

Question: What opportunities will I have for hot shower along Everest comfort trekking?

Answer: All those luxury hotel offers you hot shower but some times you need to pay roughly USD 4 for each person for each shower.

Question: How do I get drinking water on Everest Comfort trekking?

Answer: During the trekking route there are all places hotel and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these.

Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: Yes ! at hotel, you can charge your battery.

Question: What should my insurance policy cover during everest trek?

Answer: Travel insurance is mandatory before joining any trips with us, and you need to get your travel insurance policy before joining your trips to Nepal. Your travel insurance must cover the helicopter rescue up to 6000m altitude. It comes handy during medical emergencies and contingency situations. It is recommended to get it from your home country. In case you haven’t bought travel insurance after arriving at Kathmandu; we can help you get one.

Question: How to prevent altitude sickness during Everest trekking adventure?

Answer: You should never walk too quickly too high ignoring your body symptoms. Proper altitude acclimatization is the best way to prevent the high-altitude sickness. Listen to your body, trek gradually enjoying the best of culture and nature while giving enough time for your body to adapt the changing atmosphere. Drink a lot of fluid & keep your body hydrated. If symptoms like headache, difficulty in breathing and other occurs then descend to lower altitude and taken to hospital. If condition worsened you will be airlifted to hospital in Kathmandu.

Question: What will happen if my scheduled flight in Ktm-Lukla-Ktm route gets delayed or cancelled?

Answer: Weather at Himalayas is uncertain which we cannot predict. Therefore, rate of fight delay and cancellation is high at Lukla. If this happens then you will be boarded on the flight tomorrow and you have to spend extra night at Lukla (if you are returning Ktm) at Ktm (if you are going Lukla). Helicopter rescue can also be used, that depends upon situation. So, we recommend you to allocate couple of extra days after your Everest trek, so that you will not miss your international flight back.

Question: What are alternates to flight from Kathmandu to Lukla?

Answer: The best recommended way to go for any Everest trek is to board a Kathmandu-Lukla 33 minutes scenic mountain flight. Another available option is to drive from Kathmandu to Phaplu (12 hours’ drive) and trek for a 2 days to reach Lukla. In present day, theer are also regular jeep service from Kathmandu to Salleri.

Is there any communication facilities on Comfort Everest trekking?

Answer: Yes ! You can get telephone services and as well as internet services.

Question: Can I use credit cards in Trekking?

Yes ! But for trekking routes you need to have cash Nepali rupees just to maintain your extra expenses because credit cards works only in the bigger city areas.

Question: When should I book my trip and what is the payments terms?

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of mis understanding. We will of course make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings.
And regarding the deposit, we prefer 30 % advance deposit of total package price of the trip in order to conform your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Kathmandu.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on Luxury Everest trekking?

Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, our each porter carry maximum 25 kilo of your backpack which means 2 guest (12.5 kg luggage of each guest) : 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?

Answer: When walking/trekking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to gradient, terrain and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 4 hours each day.

Question: Do I need walking polls for Luxury Everest or comfort Everest trekking?

Answer: Walking pools are recommended but not compulsory.

Question: How much additional money do I need per day?

Answer: You can allocate US$ 10 – 12 for a lunch / dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 8 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee and some drinks while you are on trek.
