We recently completed the 9 days Ama Dablam Base Camp Trekking with a Guide, Ganesh Rai, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. Ganesh was absolutely fantastic and played a huge role in making this trek so special. From arranging comfortable lodges and meals to reconfirming our Lukla flights, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. As first-time trekkers, we could not have asked for a better guide or a better introduction to trekking in Nepal.

Ganesh was attentive, kind and always made sure we were comfortable, and feeling strong throughout the journey. His caring nature and positive attitude gave us great confidence on the trail. As a solo traveler, I had many questions while preparing for my trip, and Ammar always responded quickly and helpfully, usually within a couple of hours.

Everything was perfectly organized from beginning to end. Although I was nervous before starting the trek, Ganesh always made me feel safe and supported along the way. I highly recommend Gokyo Treks and Expedition, and I would absolutely choose Ganesh again for my next adventure in Nepal.

Everything was organised as agreed from trekking permits to accommodation in Kathmandu and airport taxi.

Guide knows well all the NAAT trekking routes and their recent state as it is common that some trails are already collapsed due to common landslides! This can save significant amount of time.

We first met Ammar in 2010 and have arranged several trekking trips through his agency over the years. In September 2025, we completed the North Annapurna Base Camp trek with a fully supported camping expedition.

Ammar also recommended extending our journey with a visit to the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley. Although we were unable to include it because of our limited schedule, it is certainly an option we would consider on our next visit. If you’re looking for a true wilderness trekking experience in Nepal, we highly recommend the North Annapurna Base Camp route.

Our guide, Pasang, a local Sherpa from the Everest region, was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the trek. He helped us select the right camping equipment and ensured everything ran smoothly on the trail.

Ammar took care of every detail before and during our trip, including hotel reservations, trekking permits, porters, a cook, transportation by jeep to Narachyang Village, and all other logistics. His excellent organization and prompt communication made the entire experience completely stress free.

Being a novice trekker Gokyo’s organized trek with extremely helpful and encouraging guides Bharat and Bude waiba porters made it a very memorable experience. Would highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to trek in Nepal, especially at a very reasonable price without any compromise on the quality!

My Travel mate and I hiked the ABC trek through Gokyo Treks and it was a wonderful experience. We were very thankful for our guide Lila, as he took great care of us. Our experience would not have been the same without him, especially as it was during monsoon season and we had to take a few detours because of rain.
