The particular Naya Kang peak climbing route is designed for beginner climber who wishes to climb the high passes mountain peaks of about 6000 meters. Alpine climber who wish to climb and hike in a more relaxed manner try this itinerary. 01 DayArrival day in Kathmandu. World heritage site of Kathmandu valley sightseeing, 6-7 hours.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, we will receive you in a private vehicle and transfer you to a hotel in Kathmandu. Around 12 noon, we start with our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. It includes visits to the pilgrimage sites of the Hindu Pashupatinath temple, the world’s biggest Boudhanath stupa, and visits to Swayambhunth marked as a monkey temple. Likewise, the historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with the temple, unique architecture, and Kumari in central Kathmandu. In the evening, introduce our climbing crew and brief them about your Nayakanga peak climbing.

02 Day Overland drive to Syapru Besi Bazaar (1,500m/4,922 feet), 7 hours

At morning we’ll drive on a northern highway that twists and climbs over mountain ridges to the Trishuil valley for lunch and on to Syabru village for the overnight. Now the road to Dhunche and Syapru besi is fully blacktopped through picturesque landscapes, mountain scenery, and local villages.

03 Day Lama Hotel trek (2,480m/8,137 feet), 6 hours

After breakfast, trek ascends through the forest followed by a climb to reach Bamboo village. Bamboo is located on the Langtang river bank at an altitude of 1,850 meters. Climbers can hike across the fine trails and follow upstream. In the meantime, climbers can hear the bird’s voice through the forest path. Beehives hanging on a cliff are another attraction for visitors. From here we’ll again steeply climb through the bamboo forest to reach the Lama Hotel where we’ll stay overnight.

04 Day Lama Hotel to Mundu trekking (3,430m/11,254 feet), 6 hours

From Lama Hotel, the trail leads through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples, and rhododendron observing glimpses of Langtang Lirung, reaches to Gumanchok (2800m). Climb to Ghora Tabela (2,970m) and further ascends to Thangshyap (3,140m/10,300 feet). On the way, there is a Military check-post, that controls the Langtang National Park permits.

05 Day Mundu to Kyanjin Gompa trekking (3,830m/12,566 feet), 3 hours

The path is scenic climbs gradually to Sindum and to Yamphu (3640m) to Mundo. Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Kinshung. As you climbed the hill, walk a little down to reach kyanjin gompa lodges. You might go further to the Langtang glacier – Langtang river and its origin.

06 Day Kyanjing Ridge day hike. Or full-day Tsergo Ridge hiking, 6 hours

Explore around the Langtang Lirung glacier and dry Himalayan Yak pasture. We need to take a packed lunch as a full day hike takes about 7 hours roughly to get to Tsergo Ri. Climb to Tsergo Ridge hill only if the weather is clear with a blue sky. In clear weather, you can see stunning mountain vistas like Langtang Lirung, Ganjala Chuli, Yala peak, Dorje Lakpa, and many other summits in a row.

07 Day Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4,100m/13,452 feet), 6 hours

Trek proceed along the Langtang River, crossing it before ascending steeply through a forest of rhododendron and juniper. Furthermore, the moraine trail leads to the yak pasture at Ngegang Kharka, where yaks graze peacefully. Subsequently, trekkers stay overnight in a tent camp at Ngegang.

08 Day Hike at Naya Kanga High Camp (4,960m/16,274 feet), 6 hours

This outdoor climbing trail involves a steep ascent until reaching High Camp. Subsequently, you trek along the rocky and icy glacier. Throughout this day, you can enjoy views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko Ri, Ganchenpo Peak, Kibgyu Ri, Yansi Tsenji Peak, and several other stunning peaks.

09 Day Naya Kanga peak summit climbing (5,863m/19,236 feet). Return to Nayakanga Kharka, 9 hours

Start to climb very early in the morning to reach at summit right in time. After capturing the glimpse of the towering summits, you can return to base camp or at Nayakanga Kharka to stay overnight.

10 Day Reserve day for contingency in case of bad weather

There is no guarantee of favorable weather on our planned summit day, so this day is reserved as a contingency. If the weather becomes exceptionally unfavorable, we must wisely postpone the summit attempt. If the trip proceeds smoothly, we won’t need this spare day.

11 Day Trek descend to Ghoda tabala, 7 hours

From Kyanjin gompa of Langtang villages to Ghoda Tabala takes around seven hours of walk.

12 Day Syapru Besi trek (1,500m/4,922 feet), 7 hours

The upper part trek route is more attractive for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Sherpa and Tamang villages. First half part of the track is gradually down and does a steep descent to the Syabru Besi. Nowadays, Syabrubesi bazaar is a very popular hamlet because of a connecting highway to the Kerung border, Tibet.

13 Day Drive back to Kathmandu. Trip finish.

Drive back to Kathmandu by Kerung Deluxe Yatayat bus which takes about seven hours to get to Kathmandu city center. And trip finish.

The dinner and breakfast are provided in the same place you spend the night and Lunch will be served on the way to the next place where you are hikes. However, on climbing days you will have climbing food serve with a hot tea of coffee.

Answer: Showers are available at some lower-altitude lodges along the Naya Kanga Peak climbing route. However, as you ascend to higher altitudes after Kyanjin gompa, Hot showers facilities are become limited and not available on climbing. It’s best to be prepared for basic amenities during the climb.

Question: How do I manage to drink water on the Naya Kanga Peak climb?.

Answer: There are all places hotels and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. We recommend you bring AQUA tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available at the campsite along the way.

Question: Can I charge my Mobile phone or a digital camera battery on my trip?

Answer: Your journey through the guest houses, you have a chance to re-charge the battery on pay. We recommend you bring an extra pair in case or trvel with a portable power bank. Remember to bring your adapters!.
