Kongmatse peak climbing in Nepal, formerly called Mehra Peak or simply Mehra. This attractive mountain rises to the north of the Kongma-La above the Khumbu glacier opposite Lobuje. It is one of several small summits, including Pokalde, that make up the long South-West Ridge of Nuptse, between the Khumbu and Nuptse Glaciers. The summit looks like a diamond-shaped hanging glacier above a steeply inclined rock wall that makes up the mountain’s North Face.

From the south, the mountain is better approachable. See from the lakes east of the Kongma La, a small, stepped glacier descends from the summit between long, rocky arms that make up the mountain’s South and South-East Ridges. As part of kongmatse peak climbing, you can see the tallest mountains, valleys, sherpa villages, magnificent landscapes, and lush green forests.

The margins of the glacier offer the normal route of ascent. Furthermore, it has a great opportunity to experience local Sherpa hospitality. Moreover, crossing Kongma La (5,535/18,099 feet), we descend downhill to Lukla is possible at any time except during winter months.
