Overview

The Thamserku expedition itinerary covers the highlights of the Everest massif, villages, and the glacier. Mount Thamserku peak climbing is situated in the Mahalangur mountain range into the depth of Everest mountain, Solukhumbu District, Nepal.

Thamserku peak is equally popular as a Thamserku expedition in Khumbu Himalayas. Splendid view of Everest (8,850m), Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (9,501m), Lhotse Shar (8,383m), Makalu (8,475m), Baruntse (7,720m), and Cho-Oyu, is possible to see from the summit.

Usual ascent to the Thamserku climbing route is marvelous. Barry Bishop, Mike Gill, Wally Romanes, and Mike Ward are first-time ascenders. Even in normal conditions, Thamserku is difficult to climb. Professional climbers should strive for this mountain, though it is partially saved with fixed ropes.

According to our past climbers, we have designed the Thamserku climbing itinerary cautiously to allow for gradually ascending and proper acclimatization. The best season for the Thamserku group to climb is either March to May or September to mid-November months. If the Thamserku itinerary is not suitable for you, we modify the Thamserku trek itinerary on your request and the duration of the expedition holiday.

FAQ

Question: Is pick-up service available on my arrival day in Kathmandu?.

Answer: Yes sure. Provide us with your flight details and request for pickup. Our representative will come to pick up you at Kathmandu international airport.

Question: What sort of accommodation and Food can I expect this expedition?.

Answer: Basically, we serve you a tent accommodation along the entire journey however sometimes you can stay at a guest house below the base camp. As you progress higher especially above the base camp, you’ll likely stay in tented camps set up by our expedition team.

These camps provide basic but comfortable accommodations, usually including sleeping tents, dining tents, and sometimes even shower tents. As you move closer to the summit, you may stay in higher camps that are more Spartan and focused on providing shelter and safety rather than comfort.

Likewise, our professional cook cooks a delicious range of mostly vegetarian meals. They are Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, curry rice, bread, soups, and fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season). However meals are often more varied and substantial, including a mix of local and Western dishes to provide ample energy for the strenuous activity serve with tea/coffee.

Question: What opportunities will I have for a shower along with climbing and trekking?.

Answer: Guest house trekking all the lodges they have a shower which you can get on pay. But during the climbing, we serve you a bucket of water hot and you can shower.

Question: How do I get drinking water on the Thamserku expedition?.

Answer: There are hotels and shops where you can buy bottled mineral water on the way. However, we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. We recommend you bring chlorine tablets to purify the normal water. We serve you pure drinking water while on camping days.

Question: Can I charge my camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: There are some chances to recharge the battery on pay. We advise you to bring an additional pair in case. But while on camping days, there are no local houses along the way, so better to bring a solar panel and charger. Remember to bring your adapters! And we recommend you take extra batteries along with you to take photographs.

Question: Are there internet facilities for Climbing Thamserku?

Answer: We can help you to arrange a satellite phone to call in an emergency and you pay. Use an Everest Link card to acquire telephone and internet service. But until the normal base camp, the normal SIM CARD either NCELL or NAMASTE phone works properly. So you can use 3G internet service or call.

Question: When should I book my trip and what are the payments terms?.

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. We will, of course, make every effort to accommodate last-minute bookings.
