Overview
The Tashi lapcha Pass Trek is situated in the Rolwaling mountain region in Nepal. It is located in between Rolwaling & Khumbu valley providing an opportunity to explore the remote parts of the mountain scenery. The highest Tashi Lepcha trek altitude is 5,755m above sea level. Travelers can experience the views of Jugal Himal, Rolwaling range, Gaurishankar, Mahalangur, Parchamo peak, Chobabhamre..etc.
An adventure Tashi Lepcha pass is combined with climbing Pachermo (6,272m/20,572 feet) peak, another adventure plus on your journey. So, we recommend only experienced trekkers because there is some blue ice and craves on the pass, so sometimes it is technically very difficult.
Furthermore, the diversity in flora and fauna, rich in local cultural heritage are the other highlights of this trek. Adventure Rolwaling Tashi Lepcha pass trek escapes from the well-trekked trails to explore the untouched ridges and valleys below the Gaurishankar Himalaya range and combines a wide variety of scenery, passing through charming, tranquil villages, while we enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Gaurishanker and Jugal Himal.
As soon we crossed this high pass, we descend downhill walking to Khumbu valley passing by Thame village. Descend downhill walking to Lukla bazaar and fly out to Kathmandu from the wonderful memory of the Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha pass trek. However, if you don’t like to descend downhill walking, you might continue your multi-adventure trek to Everest base camp or Gokyo valley as you like. Tashilapcha pass is in a rolowalling territory and is possible to explore at any time (except winter months) during the year.

After lunch, we explore this medieval capital. We visit Boudhanath, also known as Little Tibet. Furthermore, we visit Pashupatinath, a holy Hindu temple where the cremation takes place by the holy river Bagmati. Later we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. And transfer to the hotel.
Traveling on the Friendship Highway, which connects Kathmandu to Lhasa, we head toward Jiri to our trailhead at Shigati. The journey by bus today takes about six hours out of Kathmandu town. Our trek begins with a short hike to Suri Doban where we fix our tent camp for tonight.
Our journey begins on a trail through dense forests of rhododendron and orchids to Jagat.
Many times of ascending and descending journey along the banks of the Rolwaling river take us through a narrow valley to a suspension bridge across which a steep climb takes us to the hillside village of Simigaun.
The sun rises over the majestic Gaurishankar this morning as we ascend a forested ridge-line above the Rolwaling Valley. A gradual descent to the river banks takes us to Kharka where we fix our Tent for an overnight stay.
Views of Gaurishankar continue to impress us as we follow the Rolwaling Khola, arriving at a tributary from which we ascend to an open plain where the Sherpa village of Beding is located.
A pastoral scene unfolds around Beding where fields of buckwheat and barley are punctuated by grazing mountain yaks. To our left, a stunning ridge line formed by Bamango, Checking, and Konyklemo stands to be admired. Passing an impressive monastery, we reach our overnight stop at Na.
Crossing an expansive plain we ascend to the glacial waters of Tso Rolpa Lake. Beneath the soaring peak of Menlung, we encounter our first glimpse of the Trakarding Glacier. As we arrive here on the ground of Tso Rolpa, we fix our tent for an overnight stay.
An amazing day of exploration awaits around the rocky moraine of Trakarding Glacier. Otherworldly rock and ice formations surround us in a landscape of fascinating variety.
Following a high trail above Trakarding Glacier, we descend across an expanse of ice and rock for an amazing 360-degree panoramic view at the base of Drolambau glacier. As you reach the Tashilapcha base camp, you can explore around.
The epic crossing of Tashi Lapcha pass will leave you breathless, with jaw-dropping high mountain scenery along the way. In terms of high altitude and higher elevations, crossing Tashi Lapcha is the hardest day hike and the most difficult hike in the world. Comparing other tent treks in the Himalayas, Tashi Lepcha is a difficult hiking trail in Nepal but not the most dangerous hike in the world. Following a path cut beneath a massive rock overhang, we reach our camping spot in time for an unbelievable sunset.
Ascending snow-covered slopes to a ridge-line above TashiLapcha, we reach the summit of Parchermo. Amazing views from the summit reward us including a vast expanse of the Khumbu region. We descend downhill to Thengpo place to stay overnight.
This extra day is included to ensure a successful summit of Pachermo in case of unfavorable weather conditions. We’ll take care to ensure our team members are properly acclimatized for the ascent.
Have in mind that if guests want to climb Pachermo peak climbing directly? we can modify a special climbing plan for you. So guests can fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and return by aircraft and trek a few days up to get to the Pachermo summit.
An easy descent to Thame will reward us with spectacular views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, AmaDablam, KusumKangari, and Thamserku. Also, visit an ancient monastery above Thame.
The day begins with a gradual descent and then becomes steep before a bridge crossing over the DudhKoshi to PhunkiTenga. A verdant green change of scenery unfolds on our journey to Namche Bazaar.
The final descent to Lukla is steep and rocky, but the oxygen-rich air will bring great comfort. Descending into the lush jungles against the roar of the Dudh Koshi below, we’ll leave the Himalayan giants behind us and stop for our final rest in Lukla.
A morning flight will bring us back to Kathmandu. You’ll be escorted from Tribhuvan airport to your hotel. Enjoy the sights and sounds of bustling Thamel for the evening and reminisce about an amazing journey.
Drop you in Kathmandu International Airport onward to your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you a wonderful journey.
