There are 19 frigid lakes on the whole known as Gokyo Lakes, a sacred trip for both Hindu and Buddhist travelers.

Gokyo Lakes are pristine and every one of them is set up with a freshwater framework system, Thognak lake is the largest among the others. Some of the beautiful resorts of Gokyo village stay in the lower regions of Gokyo edge along the eastern shore of Gokyo Lakes .

Furthermore, it is a little settlement that takes into account the vacationers who typically close in winter because of extraordinary cold and heavy snowfall. Gokyo edge is as popular as a gokyo trek and is relatively moderate level to difficult.

The best time to trek in those Gokyo lakes are from March to May and September to November when the weather is dry and the skies are clear. However, it’s important to prepare well enough for the high altitude treks, with suitable clothing, equipment, and a good level of fitness.

Besides that, the Gokyo lakes are oligotrophic lakes located at an altitude of 15,400–16,400 feet at Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal.

Likewise, the Gokyo valley hike navigates through great valleys, completely clear blue and green perfect lakes, the world’s greatest icy mass called Ngozumpa Glacier, and ruling the closest mountain of Everest Himalaya run.

Last March, we have done our trip to Gokyo lakes and Gokyo RI including 5th lake trekking.

It has a long journey for us, and it’s really worth…. to see the spectacular view all the way. 5th lake excursion offers even better Himalayan scenery as well as glacial landscapes.

As we are not professional hikers, we were thinking about whether we could complete this trip or not but together with Gokyo trek and the expedition’s professional team, we prepared our journey and completed it in reality
