Our Experience in Everest Three Passes Trekking

December 10, 2024

We were a group of four (my wife, our daughter, and her boyfriend) and we started on October 20th from Kathmandu, flying into Lukla and trekking for 16 days up Everest base camp and Kalapattar. This was our third time of trekking in Nepal before we had been in Langtang/Gosainkund and in the Annapurna region up to ABC, and the Everest region is certainly the most spectacular one. But, obviously, trek over three passes route is also the most crowded one.

Ammar had been a perfect guide for us, extremely helpful in choosing the proper lodges, getting our food ready in time, and just making life as easy and entertaining as possible. Although he is young, he has a lot of experience in these regions, and, what is very helpful, a lot of friends among the locals. This can be useful: for example, the boss at the airport in Lukla is his friend. You might have heard of problems arising in Lukla when the weather is bad for several days and the planes cannot fly.

Then tourists are getting nervous because they might miss their international flights. And here Ammar´s friend would be very helpful and find you a place on a plane for flying out. Furthermore, Ammar´s rates are quite decent, much cheaper than when you book with one of the large trekking organizations. And finally, he managed to choose three porters for us who were the best we had.

They even came back several times, after they had reached the day’s destination, to help us with our own bags. I had never experienced that with other porters we had so far. Don´t hesitate to ask further questions, I am happy to answer, and had a good time there. Best wishes, and namaste (as training for Nepal ) – Ingeborg and Hannes from Austria

Singu chuli climb was great with Nepali Friends

November 7, 2024

We were a group of 3 Germans (me, my wife, a daughter) and we started on October 20th from Kathmandu to Singu chuli climb. Ammar made almost everything reservation for our trip such as flight tickets, private coach, private jeep (of course we paid extra cost), hotel reservation and booked clean rooms along the trek.

Ammar welcomed us at Tribhuvan international airport (TIA), and picked us up at the center point of Thamel. Meeting our mountain guide Pasang, we arranged all the hiking gear together.

3 of our other porters recruited from Ghandruk village, recognized almost all lodges and the local people. They were strong, friendly, and easy-going.

Furthermore, Ammar´s rates are quite decent, much cheaper comparing others. Don´t hesitate to ask further questions, I am happy to answer, and had a good time there. Best wishes, and namaste from – Gehard sommer & Family Thuringia, Germany

Everest Base Camp & Kalapattar Hike

We were a group of four (my wife, our daughter and her boyfriend) and we started on 15th October 2024 from Kathmandu to Lukla. Pikey Peak Trekking

November 3, 2024

We are an italian couple and we had a five days trekking at Pikey Peak with the guide Lama. It was an exciting experience: beautiful places and views, not only at the summit of the trekking. Also the lodges in which we stayed were very nice with nice owners. We lived and tried to understand really nepalish culture.

Despite some problems that we have overcome during the trekking and the return at Kathmandu, it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was professional and we had no problem to communicate and planning with him the trekking day by day. Thank you Lama!

Mera Peak and Amphu Lapcha Pass Climb, 10/2018

October 21, 2024

We were a group of five people from Poland and book a Mera peak with Amphu Labtsa Pass Trek with Gokyo Treks agency. It was recommended from some of our friends who did the same climbing trip from this agency before.

We had a great time during the journey the weather was perfect while climbing Mera peak and also the day of climbing Amphu Labtsa Pass.

Ammar was a nice guy, answering quickly almost all of my crazy questions regarding this adventure. He did help us to arrange climbing gears in Khare which we used on mera peak and Amphu Labtsa Pass. The SHERPA guide and porters were friendly, professional, and helpful.

Ammar arranged Kathmandu to Lukla flight by helicopter within the normal airfare. It was a great chance for us to fly with a helicopter without any extra charge. Thank you for your great service and I definitely return to Nepal in near future for other mountain climbing with Gokyo treks agency.
