As a leader from Innsbruck, I have been in Nepal several times. Every single trip I made to Nepal (either myself or with a group of clients) I used the services of Gokyo Treks & Expedition Pvt ltd. Nepal is a bit different World on its own, in some way rushy, in other slow, but definitely different. But that is why people travel – to discover and to learn these differences.

However, sometimes cultural misunderstanding in combination with language barriers may culminate in a stressful experience which hides the merits of travelling. At the first place, I talk about problems in hotels, booking confusion, wrong understanding between driver and the group, slow processing of some services etc.

These are the experiences you don’t need to take with from Nepal. As far as now I have to say that Gokyo Treks & Expedition team is the very best choice. They are helpful, they understand well the needs and wishes of foreigners, have good, safe and careful partners and at any time during providing their services to you they are listening and are very flexible to accommodate to you (e.g. if you want to have a change in your itinerary or change the driver because he/she’s too rushy to you)… If you want a pleasant and financially budget trip in Nepal, the Gokyo Treks & Expedition would be your right choice.

I chose all tours before going to Nepal and when I arrived, everything was already organized. I really loved their professionalism and all the knowledge about Nepal. They always ask what they can improve and they are very careful with us!

Our experience with Gokyo treks & expeditions was nothing short of exceptional. Our guide Kamal was not only incredibly professional and always had our safety and best interests in mind, but he was also one the kindest people we’ve ever met. I feel privileged to spent 9 days with him and I appreciate all of the organisation of Ammar, which meant there was not a single hiccup throughout the journey.

My Big plan was trekking Annapurna Circuit, but almost halfway to Thorong La the weather became worse. And my guide Bharat Dhakal advised me not to continue because it’s too dangerous. Very Sad at that time with the weather. But after reading the news that some people missing because of the landslide, I really thank Bharat. He saved my life.

We booked our trip through Nepal with Gokyo Treks and had a fabulous adventure. We didn’t go on a Trek in the Himalayas but toured Katmandu, Bhaktapur, and the Chitwan National Park. My sister was a little under the weather following the India portion of our trip and Ammar was flexible with plans and always tended to our needs. While in Bhaktapur, which is known for aggressive local guides harrassing tourists and their guides, we saw many guides walk away from their clientelle, leaving them stranded with these aggressive guides. Ammar stuck with us. I highly recommend this tour group, our holiday would not have been the same without Gokyo Treks and Expedition Day Tours!
