My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our Kathmandu City Tour with Gokyo Treks. Anmar was fantastic throughout; replying to emails and questions promptly, re-arranging the time at late notice and even meeting us at our hotel. He also introduce us to our our guide. It was a fantastic introduction to the city (before we headed off trekking), taking in the sights of Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath (monkey temple), Boudhanath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Having a local guide made things so much easier and less stressful as he was able to arrange and negotiate better taxi prices, whilst also showing us sights and giving us information that we would have otherwise missed. Overall, I’d highly recommend Anmar and Gokyo Treks’ Kathmandu City Tour.

We were in Nepal for the first time. We decided to have a tour around one of the highest mountains in the world. The organization of that agency was perfect, Rajesh, the guide that have the tour with us, was very careful about what we needed and about what we wanted to do.

During the journey, we decided to go to the Manaslu High Camp also, despite the fact that it was not included in the program, but it was not a problem to change the itinerary; it was one of the most amazing experiences in our life.

There was a porter with us also, Krishna. Altogether we walked for more than 100 km in the heart of the Himalayas in a not entirely known trek, across rain forests, Nepalese villages with unbelievable views, and the Larkya La. We suggest it !!! And Tibetan bread also;)

A colleague of mine recommended Ammar and his agency Gokyo Treks and Expedition highly for our hike in the Himalayas in October 2021.

We search his company via google and asked various questions. The agency owner Ammar Guni answered all of our questions quickly which was very important for us to prepare for our private trip over the high passes in Annapurna and Manaslu. He advised what to bring and how to prepare hiking gears to cross Larkya la and Thorong la pass without AMS (Altitude Mountain Sickness).

He asked for a trip deposit in advance to avoid any troubles while getting a Nepal visa. We have booked almost everything like a guide, a porter, all permits, and the guest houses en route. Ammar made all hiking permits and sent them via email.

We got a Nepal visa easily and quickly made all permits. We did Larkya La pass and Thorong la pass without any sickness. Our guide Lila and Bude Waiwa porter were just friendly. Reaching Muktinath temple, the weather turned bad, with no sunny clouds. So canceled Jomsom flights and went to Pokhara by Bus. All in all, everything went well and we enjoyed our trip very much.

We have booked an Everest base camp trek with a Gokyo Treks and Expedition, a local agency in Nepal. Like other trekking, we choose a guide Bishnu Panday for our Everest holiday. Although it is a peak season there were very less trekkers in the region because of covid-19 travel restrictions.

Ammar, the owner of the agency was friendly and answered all of my questions, and offered a cheaper deal to us. Luckily we had good weather, a perfect Lukla flight, and also from base camp, we achieved the most amazing view of Khumbu Icefall and little stone stupas, an open memorial park of death climbers.

Besides trekking, Ammar took us to a world heritage site of Kathmandu. Thanks, Ammar for arranging a great trip for us. We are hoping to be back for the next adventure in the coming spring season in Nepal.
