This is our 3rd tour with Gokyo Treks Company and we enjoy the itineraries that they offer. This trip ebc was fantastic. The Mountain views and the landscapes were splendid. But the trail reaching at the base camp was not easy because of sleeper and crevasses, snowfall..etc.

Our Guide was Bishnu Panday and 2 porters from Lukla were easy-going and friendly.

Our accommodations at lodges were superb. But sadly on our return from Lukla to Kathmandu flight was canceled due to the cause of bad weather. Ammar made quick contact with the helicopter company and offered us a discounted price for helicopter flights to Kathmandu. Flying in a helicopter to see the last view of Mount Everest was amazing.

I returned home about 10 days ago from an amazing trip to beautiful Nepal! I booked trekking in Annapurna in advance with Gokyo Treks and Expedition and could not be happier about my decision. Ammar Guni, manager of the agency, offered me to stay at his house in Kathmandu before and after the commencement of the trekking.

Ammar and his family treated me as a friend, not as a client. They are very warm people who ensured I am well and safe and made me feel at home. The house is located about 25′ by taxi from the airport in a quiet neighborhood and is just a 20′ walk on foot from touristic Thamel, which makes it an excellent location to explore Kathmandu. Ammar organized the trekking to perfection. He was proactive in informing me prior to my departure about the weather conditions that could affect my trekking and suggested alternatives.

Ammar assigned me as porter-guide Kamal. I could not have been more content. Kamal is the best guide ever. He took care of me when I was sick and made sure that I eat properly and take my medicine, selected nice tea houses and bargained accommodation prices, motivated me when the altitude and exhaustion had taken a toll on me, in short, he was my guardian angel during the whole trekking. He is an experienced and knowledgeable guide and a beautiful soul. Judging from Kamal, I am 100% that all the guides, who work at Gokyo Treks, are experienced and reliable.

Apart from organizing the trekking, Ammar also informed me of sights I could visit during my stay at Kathmandu and even booked the taxis to and from the airport, always at the best prices. Moreover, his nephew accompanied me on the day of my arrival at the city center to manage trekking equipment.

With all these services Ammar went far beyond his role as a trekking agent. The professionalism, generosity, and hospitality of Ammar, his team, and his family are exceptional! My adult son and I just finished (April 20-26) our trek with this company. I cannot say enough good things about them. Ammar, the owner, responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and from that moment forward he was very helpful and responsive to all of my questions.

He coordinated all of our transportation and lodging from the moment of arrival at the airport. Our guide, Ram, met me at the airport and rescued me from the chaos of Kathmandu. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the trek as well as Nepali life, in general. Our porter, Dependra, was also fantastic. Dhanyabad, Gokyo Treks and Expeditions!

We were a group of 4 alpinist from Tirol landed in kathmandu 8 April 2019. Ammar made almost everything reservation for our trip such as climbing trip, Jomsom-Pokhara flight tickets, private coach, private jeep (of course we paid extra cost), hotel reservation etc.

Ammar welcomed us at Tribhuwan international airport, and took us to the hotel. He introduces our mountain guide. With the help of our climbing guide Pasang, we arranged all the hiking gear together.

4 of our other porters were recruited from the agency also. They recognized almost all lodges and the local people. They were strong, friendly, and easy-going.
