We were 4 friends from Germany found Gokyo Treks Nepal over the internet forum. Its our second-time visit in Nepal for trekking. We read a lot of good reviews so we wanted to book for the Kanchenjunga base camp trek with Gokyo Treks.

Basically, the Kanchenjunga trek is off the beaten-path trek route in Nepal. Less travelers and lodges were just basic. You get an opportunity to explore the true reality of local culture and green vegetation as well as the white snowcapped mountain. The passes are difficult as were not experienced hikers however we made this trip in three weeks. We (a group of 3) recently completed a two-week Manaslu circuit trek with Gokyo Treks and Expeditions. Our trek was absolutely wonderful! Ammar helped us to plan the trip and was informative and easy to communicate with both in the lead-up and once we had arrived in Nepal.

Everything was taken care of which meant we could really enjoy the excursion rather than spending time on logistics. There was also flexibility in our hiking itinerary which we really appreciated.

Our guide Bhupal was excellent as was our kind and helpful porter Bikash. We never felt rushed and learned a lot about the country, environment, and culture from both our guide and porter.

Bhupal was knowledgeable about the area, professional, reassuring, and had a good sense of humor! He always had useful advice and advice and it was clear that he had our best interests in mind. Bhupal was a great company from start to finish- we were sad to say goodbye at the end of the trek!

The Manaslu circuit itself is beautiful with a diverse range of scenery. We’d highly recommend this company if you’re considering trekking in Nepal.

We had the pleasure to use the services of Gokyo Treks & Expeditions during our tour. It was 19 days in the mountains, trekking and Mera Peak, and Amphu Lapcha Pass climbing.

Services were professional, staff was really helpful and friendly. During our trip there was good communication with Ammar, so we could be sure that someone is escorting us. I can highly recommend this agency and will use their services again for sure.

Ammar, owner of the Gokyo Treks Company came to know from one of our office colleagues. He booked everything for us from we appeared to the airport in Kathmandu until the day that we leave. Everything is very satisfying throughout the whole trip. From shopping in Thamel Street (Our Guide Kamal follow us around the street to advise us for what is the appropriate hiking gear to purchase) to overcome to the 3 high passes adventure treks.

The guide will give us a briefing every evening throughout the whole hiking trip to get us not only physically and mentally ready for the second-day hike but also to carry the correct gear. Besides, he also briefs us on a lot of news about the mountain, how to prevent AMS and more.

Not to mention that our assistant guide Mr Bhupal did a really good job serving us from the daily hiking route as well as in the guest houses. Our four ever-smiling porters (Kieran, Hira, and Prem) did a great job too. The three porters also come back down to assist us when they reach the Chola Pass peak and Kongma la peak, contributing a lot to our successful crossing.

Before leaving to Europe, Ammar invited us for a typical Nepali dinner. It was an opportunity to talk more with Ammar about the volunteering organization that he helped society in various ways, including sponsoring kids who lost parents in Earthquake 2015.

Ammar Raj Guni is a perfect and very reliable agent for arranging your trekking. He has also much experience as a guide, so he always knows what he is talking about. His prices are really competitive. His calculations were transparent, our trek was some days longer than arranged, but in the end, we got no unexpected costs. He works with local people from the small villages and he treats them very socially. So during the two days, we stayed at his house, we felt very comfortable. I strongly recommend his agency if you’re visiting Nepal.
