Trail running from the Everest base camp to Namche Bazaar was terrific. It was not the easiest but I did complete it in seven hours. it’s really worth at least once in a life…. to see a spectacular view of all the way and especially our running trail from Everest Base camp to Namche village.

At first, I was not sure whether to finish my Everest marathon running or not. Together with the Gokyo trek and expedition, we prepare for our journey and did run some of the high Himalayas along the routes, no doubt they have experience which made my running much easier.

I am a Malaysian who did the 10 days Annapurna Base Camp trek alone with Ram as my guide. This was my first time in Nepal and I have to say that I am highly satisfied with Gokyo Treks. Ammar handled everything from the moment I landed at Kathmandu airport. I had nothing to worry about! The professionalism and hospitality were amazing!

Ram was fantastic as my guide! And my Dhal Bhat buddy! He had very funny jokes and had the local knowledge to point out the things that I would have never noticed myself. He also always went out of the way to make sure I was taken care of all the time.

I had a great time with these guys! At last, I would highly advise Gokyo Treks to anyone looking to do a trek in Nepal.

In 2007, I trekked to the EBC and walked the Annapurna circuit with Gokyo Treks and Expedition. It was a wonderful experience. I even spent a few days in Amar’s village with his family after my trip.

This year I planned to trek the upper Mustang and watch the Tiji Festival in Lo Manthang with my daughter. I started coordinating with Amar Guni late last year. He provided a great itinerary. Communication was very efficient. Everything has been finalized.

Unfortunately, I got sick during my overland trip from Lhasa to Kathmandu and I had to cancel the Upper Mustang trek at the last minute. Amar was very considerate and sympathetic to my situation. I hope I would be able to return to Nepal in the near future and do another trek.

I highly recommend Gokyo Treks and Expedition to anybody who wants to have an adventure in Nepal.

A good friend of ours highly recommended Ammar and his agency, and without hesitation, we booked our Kailash tour with them. From the very start, everything was handled smoothly, and the service throughout the journey was truly commendable.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Lodges were basic but relatively comfortable, and the food was consistently good in all locations. Most importantly, Ammar and his team were attentive, reliable, and professional at every step.

Without a doubt, we look forward to traveling with them again on our future adventures.

We, as a couple, booked the overland tour from Kathmandu to Lhasa through Gokyo Treks and Expedition. Once we crossed the Tibet border, the road conditions significantly improved, making the journey more comfortable. Hotels en route were reasonably good, though occasionally a bit cold due to the high altitude.

Our Tibetan guide, Dorje, was professional, super friendly, and deeply knowledgeable about Tibetan Buddhism, enriching all our site visits. I also took an optional visit to a nunnery in Lhasa, which was a warm and unique experience, offered milk tea with kind smiles, something we didn’t expected.

Though there was a lot of driving, the breathtaking landscapes and a distant view of Mount Everest made it worthwhile. Visa fee and flight costs were not cheap, but overall, the tour felt like great value for money.
