This is my second excellent trekking experience with Gokyo Treks in Nepal. We planned to do EBC + Gokyo but we couldn’t fly to lukla due to bad weather. Luckily our guide Kamal KC arranged a direct jeep to Phaplu. The walk from Phaplu to Lukla is amazing as you can see the real villages and how people lives.

Regarding, our guide, Kamal, we are so grateful. He has so many years of experience in the Himalayas. He help us all the time and explained everything about the mountains and villages. He also selected very good lodges that were warm and clean. Furthermore, we needed to go to visit a doctor and he arranged an appointment quickly in a very good medical center. Basically, he became a very good friend of ours during this trek.

Overall, the trekking to Gokyo valley was amazing, and we had incredible views of many mountains and lakes. If you are looking for a serious company you can trust Gokyo Treks. We are a team of 4 Germans from Europe and we have just finished the Langtang trek with the professional guide Ram with Gokyo Treks & Expedition and everything went excellent! Our Guide Ram was extraordinary and our porters Dipendra and Manoj were just friendly.

We travel to Nepal 2 times already but we didn’t have time for trekking this time we spend our 7 days Langtang Trek with a guide and porters. They were all very good people. No doughts, we are again planning our next trip to Annapurna with Gokyo Trek agency in coming October – November. If you are thinking or searching for a reliable company then this agency is the best for sure and their prices are competitive comparing others.

I visited Nepal in Oct/Nov 2021. It was easy to get Visa, even an on-arrival Visa was available for vaccinated people with a recommendation from the Trekking company. We did the Tilicho Lake Trek in the Annapurna circuit area.

This was organized by Gokyo Treks and Expedition. The organization of the Trekking was excellent, I was picked up at the airport, and mandatory hotel booking for immigration was managed by the company so there was nothing to worry about in advance. The trekking itself was awesome, the guide was very experienced, I learned a lot about nature, the surrounding beautiful Annapurna Range, and the local culture.

I highly recommend Gokyo Treks and Expedition.

Concerning safety in the city area, I was positively surprised that the vast majority of people are wearing face masks in Kathmandu, even when they are outside.

I recently completed my wish list of going to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo with assistance of Gokyo Treks and Expedition, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with the company. Ever since I contacted Gokyo Treks, Ammar Guni has assisted me with lots of decisions and given me advices, from what to expect on my trip to what are the essentials needed.

I was greeted warmly by Ammar when I touched down at Kathmandu airport, stayed at his house, and had a nice dinner with his family. Ammar even walked me to Thamel to get remaining essentials for my trip, and he made it so much easier since I’m not local.

While trekking, I was assigned a guide who then became friend, Tej Regmi, a thoughtful guide and genuine at doing his work. He gave full attention especially when crossing Chola Pass glacier which is dangerous. Tej even suggested alternative trekking routes since I was finishing my trip earlier than expected. The best is, friends who I knew along my trip even complimented him for being thoughtful.

Overall, I’m very happy with services by Ammar and his team, and for me their actions have spoken louder than words. Thanks for the great experience Gokyo Treks and Expedition! I strongly recommend them if you’re visiting Nepal.

We are a team of 5 college students from Kathmandu and have booked a Trisuli Rafting tour for my college friends with Gokyo Treks and Expedition. From the initial inquiry to the end of the trip the company was very impressive.

Ammar – the founder of the company was extremely efficient. He answers all of our emails and messages in return. He arranged a private transfer for your rafting group to Trishuli and back. The rafting Guide was Ram Sharan, and his crew were extremely funny and always wanted to ensure we were happy. We were beginners for the Rafting tour but achieve amazing knowledge.
