24 Dec 2024: Arrival day in Kathmandu ValleyUpon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, we will receive you with private vehicle and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu, accommodation with breakfast plan. Our representative will brief you about the Christmas and new year tour programs. However Christmas celebration in the evening.
At morning, our local professional tour guide Ammar Raj Guni, myself or one of our local Tourist guide will pick up you at a hotel and escort to the city. We will guide you through the Kathmandu world heritage sites listed in UNESCO heritage sites in 1979. It is an easy day tour that you relax with an easy excursion with our professional city tourist guide . The tourist guide will deliver you the information which will uncover a totally different perspective of Kathmandu.
Swayambhunath Stupa: It is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist pilgrimage sites / and is said to be 2,000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire’s base are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Swayambhunath is situated in a hillock about 36m above the level of Kathmandu city as Kathmandu is located at an altitude of 1350 meters and hence offers a Brilliant view of Kathmandu valley.
Kathmandu Durbar Square : It is the historic seat of royalty. Recognized as a Hanuman Dhoka (Recognized as a Monkey God) Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. The most interesting things to see here are the Kasta Mandapa (Temple made by a single tree) Temple, Taleju Temple, Temple of Kalbhairav, Nine storied old Palace, and the Temple of Kumari (Living Goddess).
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath is Hindu’s most holy God, the temple of Lord Shiva, with two-tiered golden roofs and silver door is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindus are allowed inside the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple from the viewpoint across the Bagmati Khola. And the activities were performed (burning dead bodies) on the temple premises on the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. As your visit here, you can see how HINDU’S CREMATE.
Boudhanath stupa: The tallest and biggest stupa of Nepal and one of the tallest stupas in the world. Boudhanath Stupa 6 km east of Kathmandu city, an ancient colossal Stupa is one of the centers of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. In the evening, we return back to the hotel.
Better to take a flight if you are going to Pokhara during the Monsoon Season. It takes only 25 minutes by flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Have in mind that the airfare is an extra USD 112 Per person). In the afternoon you will be with your trekking Guide to Observe the Natural Beautiful town of Pokhara. However, if you are driving to Pokhara by Tourist bus/car, It takes around 7 hours however you will have beautiful landscapes on the way.
We begin our overland drive to Nayapul, a gateway to Annapurna base camp at an altitude of 1,050 meters above the sea. Our overland drive takes about 90 minutes to get to Nayapool Bazaar. Reaching Nayapool, conduct our journey to Birethanti (1,065m) and further to Tikhedhunga (1,577m) is an easy trekking passing through several small villages and settlements. Afterward, we ascend gently to the final destination of the day. Overnight at Guesthouse.
We conduct our journey walking through several tiny cottages and Gurung village and settlements. For the first part to get to Ulleri is a little tough as we need to walk over the stone steps all the way but then the trail is much easier however you will see a good view of Fish Tail Mountain commonly known as Machephuchhere (6,997 m.), mount Hiunchuli (6,441 m.) and as well as Annapurna south (7,219 m). Now, our trail is quite easier passing through Rhododendrons and shadowy trees and ascending gently up to the upper Ghorepani village. In the evening before dusk, we will have a sunset Himalayas only if you hike roughly about 200 meters up. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today, in the early morning, Hike together to get Poon Hill (3,220m/10,562 feet.) station for Sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m.), Tukuche Peak (6,920m.), Nilgiri (6,940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7,847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m.), Annapurna South (7,219m.), Annapurna III (7,855m.), Machhapuchhare (6,993m.), Annapurna IV (7,525m.), Annapurna II (7,937m.), Lamjung Himal (6,931m.) and numerous other snow-capped mountains in a row.
After Sunrise, we take a hot breakfast & continue our trek further to Ghandruk village passing Tadapani hill. Tadapani Hill is a gateway to exploring the Khopra Ridge trek or to ABC Trekking. During the journey, go under the Rhododendron forest, the beautiful flower makes the jungle colorful in spring when they bloom.
After sightseeing around Ghandruk, we descend steeply through green visitation and stone steps, crossing modi river then gentle walk up to Landruk village than continue our journey to get Deurali hill station. The best place to explore the tallest Himalayas and beautiful Pokhara city including Mardi Himal.
Today, we easily walk down to Dhampus Phedi which takes about 3 or 4 hours. We walk through tiny beautiful Gurung villages to get to Baglung Highway. Then catch our private transport to return to Pokhara Fewa lakeside. Overnight at Hotel and Celebrate a New Year’s Eve.
Free for New Year celebration program. Street festival events will be organized in Lakeside Pokhara so everybody can enjoy the festival.
However, in the afternoon, we go boating on an island to visit the Tal Barahi temple. Drive further to visit Devi’s Fall, Gupteswor Mahadev cave, and the Tibetan refugee camp and return hotel to stay overnight at a hotel.
Morning we’ll drive back by cozy Tourist Bus through the scenic countryside and during the route will stop for breakfast & lunch. or drive back with private vehicles (have in mind that we serve private vehicles only if you are a minimum of 10 guests traveling together basis). It takes 7 hours back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu, the guide will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Thamel. Our trip end, wish you a wonderful journey.

Dinner and breakfast are provided in the same lodge you spend the night every day and Lunch will be provided on the way to the next place where you are going.

Answer: It is better to hike with walking poles. Learn how to use trekking poles for balance and stability, whether on the sidewalk or on trails. Walking poles can help prevent slips and falls. They are just recommended but not compulsory.

Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for lunch/dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee, and some drinks while you are on your Christmas & new year hiking.
