10:30 – 11:00: Drive to Bhungmati village
11:00 – 11:30: Explore the Rato Macchendranath shrine.
11:30 – 12:00: See Newari art and glance at the local people’s daily life.
12:00 – 13:30: Get enjoy personal time to roam around the Bungmati village.
13:30 – 14:30: Walk to Khokana village.
14:30 – 16:00: Khokana Day tour – Visit a temple

What To Expect

This is a single day tour with multiple hours of sightseeing in the southern part of Kathmandu. Most of the people are Newars still abiding by their tradition as a significant part of life. From Bungmati to Khokana village takes about 20 minutes to hike. In these 2 villages, travelers can explore the typical Newari houses and their lifestyles.

Likewise, Bungamati is a small Newari village with very less influenced by modern society just a few kilometers far from the village, Bungamati exemplifies the true beauty of the still living age old culture and civilization.
