1 DayArrival in Kathmandu valley. World Heritage sites(1,348m) tours in Kathmandu, 6 hours.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, we will receive you in a private vehicle and drive you to the hotel in Kathmandu. All aspects of gear and conditions are discussed to make sure you’re fully prepared for the trip, and any last-minute questions are answered.

After breakfast, we commence our journey from Kathmandu to Lamabagar takes 8 to 9 hours by public bus or 8 hours by private jeep [extra cost]. Upon arrival, you’ll explore the town and stay overnight in a local lodge. Lamabagar is a small Sherpa town where Buddhism is practiced.

3 Day Trek to Lumnang Village (2,900m/9,515 feet), 6 hours

After breakfast, you’ll begin your trek towards Lumnang, a winter settlement of the Lapchi people. Your hike today will pass through the Lapchi Khola, bamboo forests, and crossing streams and rivers before reaching Lumnang village. Estimated time that the journey will take today is about 6 hours.

4 Day Lapchi Village Trek (3,030m/9,941 feet), 5 hours

Following a fast-flowing stream beneath the shadow of Gaurishankar (7,134m), you’ll arrive at Lapchi Village. Its a final camp or settlement of the entire journey. Here, you can visit the footprint and sacred cave of Milarepa, and explore the monastery, Chöra Gephel Ling, surrounded by retreat places.

5 Day Trek to Sephuk (4,600m/15,093 feet), 7 hours

Today, you’ll hike to Sephuk, where Jetsun Milarepa’s retreat house and holy water are located. This spot offers panoramic views of the mountains, including the Lapchi Monastery and village.

6 Day Ramding Namgoma trek (4,500m/14,765 feet), 1 hour

If conditions permit, you’ll spend an additional day exploring, hiking to Ramding Namgoma, located within this holy premises. Its a short spiritual hike that takes about 40 minutes, reaching an elevation of approximately 4500 meters.

7 Day Retrace from Lapchi Gonpa to Lumnang (2,900m/9,515 feet), 8 hours

Say goodbye to the residents of Lapchi village and retrace your path back to Lumnang, where you’ll spend the night. Lumnang is a unique village where you stayed on the first day before beginning the ascent to Lapchi Gompa.

8 Day Retrace to Lamabagar (2,077m/6,814 feet), 5 hours

Continue retracing your route back to Lamabagar that takes around four to five hours. Today’s nature path condition from Lumnang to Lamabagar is generally good, with well-defined trails and beautiful natural surroundings.

9 DayDrive back to Kathmandu with a public Bus, 10 hours.

Today we take a public bus from Lamabagar to Kathmandu for the return journey. Transfer to you hotel and trip finish.

Answer: We do provide porters to transfer your luggage from Kathmandu together with you. Each of our porter will carry a maximum of 24 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?

Answer: When walking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to gradient, terrain, and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances for each day. However, you need to prepare your body to walk roughly about 5/6 hours each day as it is not a very easy hike in the Himalayas.

Question: Do I need walking poles?

Answer: It is better to hike with walking poles as you are going to the isolated rugged trail. Learn how to use trekking poles for balance and stability, whether on the sidewalk or on trails. Walking poles can help prevent slips and falls. They are just recommended but not compulsory.
