Overview

The Seven Passes Trek is an ultimate adventure route that traverses the high mountain valleys of the Annapurna region, offering an extraordinary hiking experience. Adventurers can explore this route as an extension of the Annapurna Circuit, encountering new and thrilling terrains. Despite the rugged and remote nature of the trail, the region’s allure remains timeless, with minimal changes to its pristine landscape over the years.

Our trek includes crossing seven high mountain passes: Kuchumro Pass (4,900m), Yarcha Pass (4,834m), Meta Pass (4,635m), Phu Pass (5,043m), Naar Pass (5,322m), Kangla Pass (5,306m), and Thorung La Pass (5,416m). These trails, untouched and serene, have remained largely unchanged, providing an authentic wilderness experience.

It has a diverse range of vegetation, reflecting the changing altitude and climate. Lower elevations feature lush subtropical forests with bamboo, pine, and oak trees, while higher altitudes showcase vibrant rhododendron forests that bloom brilliantly during spring. As the trek ascends above the tree line, the landscape transitions to alpine meadows, rugged shrubs, and hardy grasses, creating a stunning tapestry of Himalayan flora.

It’s also a home to diverse wildlife, including Himalayan tahr, snow leopards, red pandas, musk deer, and various species of colorful pheasants like the Danphe, Nepal’s national bird.

Moreover, the Annapurna Seven Passes Trek has recently emerged as an excellent alternative for adventurers seeking a longer journey through tranquil mountain landscapes. It connects with a stunning Marshyangdi Valley and features a challenging yet rewarding 3 weeks trek suitable for experienced hikers.

Ammar Raj Guni is a perfect and very reliable agent for arranging your trekking. He has also much experience as a guide, so he always knows where he is talking about. His prices are really competitive.

His calculations were transparent, our trek was some days longer than arranged, but in the end, we got no unexpected costs. He works with local people from the small villages and he treats them very socially. So during the two days, we stayed at his house, we felt very comfortable. I strongly recommend his agency if you’re visiting Nepal. – Johannes and Rico, Tirol, Austria.
