Mount Pokalde Peak Climb is one of the easiest peak climbing located near the foothills of Mount Nuptse and Everest. Pokalde Peak is one of the shortest and easiest trekking peaks that stands next to Kongmatse peak in the Everest Region.

Mount Pokalde is a little peak at an altitude of 19,049 feet situated a little north of Kongma La viewpoint, above the Khumbu glacier, opposite Lobuche. Many tourists call this peak Dolma Ridge. Therefore, the summit offers an excellent mountain view including Makalu, Amadablam, Cho Oyu, Pumori, Nuptse, and more in rows. An interesting Pokalde Peak Climbing has 13 days itinerary compared to most walks in this region leading up to the Pokalde summit. 01 DayArrival at Kathmandu valley. Visit the heritage site in Kathmandu valley, 4-5 hours.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, we will receive you in a private car and drop you at your hotel in Thamel in Kathmandu. After lunch, we hike in Kathmandu city and travel to look at cultural heritage sites. Today, we visit Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and historical Basantapur Durbar Square, etc. Our representative will brief you on Pokalde Climbing information programs.

02 DayFly from Kathmandu to Lukla airport. Trek to Bengkar (2,630m/8,629 feet), 5-6 hours

Take an early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m/9,318 feet), seat at north side to get mountain view. Upon arrival at Lukla bazaar, meet the entire crew, have breakfast, and go. As you hike from Lukla to Phakding (2,610 m), the trail is one of the easiest parts as the landscapes go simply up in ascending order. The travel goes further with a gentle climb up and down to reach Bengkar.

03 Day Namche Bazaar hikes (3,440m/11,286 feet), 5-6 hours

The trail ascends through the Koshi riverbank into the mountainside to Monjo. We walk to the Sagarmatha National Park check the post office to pay for national park entrance fees and walk along the river to Hillary bridge. Crossing over the Hillary bridge, tourists can see the first finest view of Mount Everest (8,848m) and Lhotse (8,516m.). Namche Bazaar is a central hub for selling food and hiking gear.

04 DayKhumjung trekking (3,780m/12,402 feet) passing Sengboche hilltop, 3 hours

We hike at Sengboche hilltop to get an excellent view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kongde, and much other snow-capped mountains within 360 deg angle. During the afternoon time, you can visit the villages and Khumjung monastery to see the legendary yeti’s scalp.

05 DayTengboche Trek (3,860m/12,665 feet), 5-6 hours

The trail goes ahead leaving a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Kosi river. Get an amazing panorama such as Ama Dablam (6,812m), Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7855m), and Tawoche (6501m) on your hikes. We walk to Tengboche hill passing Trashinga, Phunki Tenga, and the colorful Rhododendrons forest. Tengboche hill pass (Om Mane Padme Hun) offers a good view of sunrise and sunset at Mount Everest and the Ama Dablam skyline.

06 DayTrek to Dingboche (4,410m/14,469 feet), 6-7 hours

We trek leaving Tengboche at the backdrop, we go down passing with rhododendron forest and enter Deboche village. Cross Imja river suspension bridge, head towards Minlinggo, and inter Imjatse Valley beneath the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse.

07 DayPokalde Base Camp hikes (5,364m/17,599 feet), 4-5 hours

Pokalde base camp offers the magical scenery of mount Pumori, Cholatse, Lobuche and Amadablam are simply prominent. Typically, Tourists can see Khumbu icefall, Pumori, Kalapatthar, and the epic Everest base camp trek route. Climbing preparation with Guide and stay overnight at tent camp.

08 DayPokalde Peak Climbing day (5,806m/19,049 feet). Descend to Dingboche (4,410m), 8-9 hours

Check your climbing gears and wake up very early for Pokalde peak climbing. The pokalde summit is great to watch Everest peak, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Island peak, etc. Likewise, cross kong ma la pass (5,535m/17,445 feet) and descend to Dingboche village which is 14,469 feet.

09 DayTengboche Monastery trek, 6 hours

We descend with stone-walled potato fields, down alpine pastures through the kharkas of Tsura, Orsho, and Shomare to the Pangboche. Pangboche village has the highest year-round settlement in the valley. The Pangboche Gompa (monastery) is the oldest in the Khumbu and once used to boast the skull and hand of a Yeti. 2 hours walk further, we reach Tengboche hill station to see Tengboche Monastery.

10 DayDescend to Namche (3,440m/11,286 feet), 5 hours

Finally, the trek descends from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar passing several villages. Sanasa and Lagusasa are the most famous ones. You will catch the way descends from Gokyo valley. We trek furthermore twenty minutes to find a lodge for lunch and a short pause. After Lunch at Sanasa, we hike up to Khumjung village where one can visit traditional villages landscapes. You might also visit Hillary Hospital located in Khunde. And in the meantime, we follow the Khumjung Monastery or get your guide to finding another path to reach Namche in the late afternoon.

11 DayWalk from Namche to Lukla airport (2,840m/9,318 feet), 8 hours

We trek to Lukla with the same trail as we use on ascend. It is our final day’s hikes. Upon arrival in Lukla Bazaar, get refreshed and visit Lukla markets and take a rest.

12 DayScenic Mountain flight from Lukla to Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport.

We board our early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu airport. Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport, we arrange a return transfer back to your hotel. In the afternoon, go shopping or request us to discover Kathmandu as a guided trip at an additional cost. Otherwise, the trip ends. Wish you a wonderful journey.

Answer: We provide you with tourist standard accommodation in Kathmandu. Likewise, a clean double bedroom without an attached toilet en route. The rooms are clean comfortable beds with a nice mattress and a blanket. We do supply tent accommodation for a night in Pokalde base camp trekking and climbing days. Answer: The guest houses have their restaurant and they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, curry rice, bread, soups, and fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season)

Answer: All the guest houses, have a shower which you can get on pay.

Question: How do I get drinking water on Pokalde Peak Climb?.

Answer: During the trekking route there are all places hotels and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. We recommend you bring chlorine tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available at the campsite along the way.

Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: During the Lodge trek there will be chances to charge the battery on pay. We recommend you bring an extra pair in case. Remember to bring your adapters! And we recommend you take extra batteries along with you.

Question: Are there any communication facilities on Pokalde Peak Climbing?

Question: Can I use credit cards in Trekking?.

Answer: No. You need to have cash Nepali rupees because credit cards work only in bigger cities or in luxury hotels.

Question: When should I book my trip and what are the payments terms?.

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. We will, of course, make every effort to accommodate last-minute bookings.

And regarding the deposit, we prefer a non-refundable 20% advance deposit of the trip price in order to verify your reservation before you arrive in Kathmandu Nepal. The remaining part of the payment has to be clear on your arrival in Kathmandu.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on the express Pokalde Peak Climb?.

Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, every porter carries a maximum of 24 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?

Answer: When walking/trekking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to gradient, terrain, and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however, you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 5 hours each day.

Question: Where can I organize my personal climbing gear?

Answer: If you have those climbing gear at your home bring them along with you. If you don’t have them, you can rent climbing gear in Chukhung village. At Chuhkung guest house, you can get all those gear on rent.

Question: How much additional money do I need daily?.

Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for a lunch/dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee, and some drinks while you are on your trek.
