The Machermo peak climbing route covers most underlines of Khumbu high mountain passes, lakes, and glaciers. Adventure Machermo climbing is common and is situated in the Mahalangur range in the Everest province, Solukhumbu District, Nepal.

The Machhermo peak climbing is open for climbing under the mountaineering association of Nepal. Summit offers an excellent view of Everest (8,850m), Nuptse (7,879m), and Lhotse (9,501m). 01 DayArrival at Kathmandu valley. The World Heritage site of Kathmandu valley sightseeing, 6 hours.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, we will pick you up and drop you at your hotel in Thamel with a private car. Leaving luggage at the hotel, we start with our guided trip to the UNESCO world heritage site in Kathmandu valley.

The sightseeing includes the pilgrimage sites of Hindu Pashupatinath temple, the world’s biggest Bouddhanath Stupa, and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with the temple, unique architecture, and Kumari (living goddess) in central Kathmandu. Evening introduction with a travel buddy for your adventure mountain Machhermo peak climbing.

02 DayKathmandu to Lukla airport flight. Hike to Bengkar village (2630m/8,629 feet), 5 hours

Take an early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport (2,860m/9,381 feet), seat at north side to get a better view. Landing in Lukla bazaar, meet our entire crew, have breakfast, and proceed to go.

Hike from Lukla to Phakding village is the easiest part as the landscapes go slightly up in ascending rank. The travel goes further with a gentle rise in the mountainside of the Dudh Koshi canyon. Passing several Sherpa localities, we reach Bengkar village.

03 Day Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286 feet), 4 hours

The trail ascends across the Koshi riverbank into the mountain, through a forest to Chumoa. Continue to cross a stream, and pass by the tiny Monjo village to the Sagarmatha National Park office where we need to pay for entrance fees.

Cross the Hillary bridge, the trek begins the steep ascent to Namche Bazar. In between the pine forest, we have first-rate Everest (8,848m) and Lhotse (8,516m.) mountain views. Encircled around the mountains, Namche Bazaar is the central heart of the area for food, trekking gear, and other necessary goods.

04 DayTrek to Khumjung village (3,780m/12,402 feet) via Sengboche hill, 4 hours

We start with a steep one-hour climb to the Sengboche airstrip (3790m), from where we will slowly ascent towards Khunde passing numerous chorten (stone Buddhist monuments) and hill station.

Hike up to the hilltop to get an excellent view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kongde, Thamserku, and many other snowy mountains in a row. Khumjung is a foothill of Khumbila and interested tourists go to visit the Khumjung monastery.

05 DayDhole lodge trekking (4,110m/13,485 feet), 5 hours

The classical Gokyo trail ascends up to Mong la pass at 4,000 meters ridgeline. A short stop for photography rest because Mong la hill station offers an excellent mountain view of several tallest mountains.

You trek steeply descend passing through Phortse Tenga and climbing steeply to Dhole, through rhododendron and birch forest.

06 DayMachermo village trek (4,470m/14,666 feet), 4 hours

Journey leads steadily along the side of the valley, where the small and thorny bushes give way to scrub juniper as the altitude rises. The mountain hiking trail passes many summer settlements, yaks are taken to these pastures to graze in the summer months. Ahead of you are excellent views of Cho Oyu, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku.

07 DayGokyo lake (4,790m/15,716 feet) and to Gokyo Ri hikes, 5 hours

The Himalayan trail leads over the scenic grassy walks at Pangka, descend slightly, following one of the melt-water Rivers which flow down the west side of the Ngozumpa Glacier. We climb Everest Gokyo trek a steep rocky sloping valley by the side of the Gokyo glacial river.

The final destination is ultimately Gokyo lake, where we stay overnight in a good lodge. The Gokyo Everest trek journey today is just a superb trip rather to earlier days in terms of landscape and Mountains view.

Later Lunch, Gokyo Ridge hikes is situated just above the side of Gokyo lake and a Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest glacier in Nepal. You can hike at the top of Gokyo Ridgeline to get a super view of the tallest peaks at 360 deg angle.

08 DayGokyo to Machermo Base camp (4,470m/14,666 feet), 7 hours
We trek down with the same trail from the Gokyo Valley to Machermo lodge. Collecting our all climbing gear, we departed up to the Machermo base camp on the same day. Hike about 350 feet up to the Machermo for better acclimatization but it is not a must. The Base Camp offers great scenery and we set up our Tent for an overnight stay.

09 DayMachermo High camp climb (5,300m/17,389 feet), 4 hours

Our support team will take you to the high camp which takes about 5 hours. You will have climbing practice using climbing equipment. Journey offers stunning views of the Himalayas including mount cholatse, taboche, amadablam, and more. Stay overnight in Tent.

10 DayMachermo summit climb (6,237m/20,463 feet). And return to normal basecamp, 8 hours

As you go higher the grassy trail goes more stepper and diluent and slipper. On a colder night with dry weather, the climbing path could be blue ice which makes your climbing harder. The Machhermo summit is tiny with amazing views of the entire Khumbu District. After a successful ascend, return to base camp where we spend the night.

11 DayReserve day for weather contingency.

There is no such guarantee that we can get quite favorable weather while climbing. So this day is used as a contingency in case we are unable to get to the summit on an earlier day. If the weather gets exceptionally unfavorable, we wisely have to postpone the program. Sometimes somebody in the group may get some problems acclimatizing well enough to make the ascent; the day can be used in that condition too. If the trip goes smoothly, we do not need this spare day so we descend downhill.

12 DayDescend downhill to Monjo village (2,835m/9,302 feet), 7 hours.

A long day walk to get to Monjo village passing sherpa settlements. If you can’t reach Monjo today, you might customize your day and stay in Namche Bazaar. And try to walk to Lukla’s guest house in the next day.

13 DayDescend to Lukla Bazaar (2,840m/9,318 feet), 6 hours

An easy hikes today to get back at Lukla airport. We trek to Lukla Bazaar with the same trail that we use on our ascending. It is the last day of our climbing. Our guide will go to the airline counter to reconfirm the return flight to Kathmandu for the next morning.

14 DayScenic Mountain flight from Lukla to Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport.

We board our early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu airport. Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan international airport, we arrange a return transfer back to your hotel. In the afternoon, go shopping or request us to discover Kathmandu as a guided trip at additional cost.

15 DayFinal departure day

Drop you at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) onward to your final destination and our trip ends. Wish you a wonderful journey.

The Machermo peak climbing price US$ 2350 is the standard trek price on a double occupancy per person basis. For the deluxe plan, we add a 3 to 5-star category hotel deluxe air-conditioned room in Kathmandu with a breakfast plan. Answer: Yes sure. Provide us with your flight details and request for pickup. Our representative will come to pick up you at Kathmandu international airport.

Question: Do I need experience in Machermo peak climbing?

Answer: Yes, experience is recommended for climbing Machhermo Peak. The climb involves technical skills and high-altitude conditions. Making it suitable for those with prior mountaineering experience and a good level of physical fitness.

Question: What kind of accommodation and food can I expect at Machermo peak climbing?

Answer: We provide you lodge accommodation with a clean normal rooms with a sharing toilet/bathroom along the lodges. Room will have basically 2 beds with a nice mattress. Likewise, you will stay in a tent accommodation during the climbing periods at the Machermo base camp. However, we recommend you take your own sleeping bags if you have one with you. Otherwise, you may rent it while you are in Kathmandu.

Lodges along the trekking routes have thier own restaurants where they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian meals. Such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, rice, bread, and soups. Similarly, during the climbing days, our cook will prepare a delicious meals for you.

Question: Will I have a shower along this journey?

Answer: Yes, you will typically have access to hot showers while staying at the lodges. Most lodges provide shower facilities availability come with an extra charge. It’s advisable to carry quick-drying towels and toiletries suitable for cold conditions.

Question: How do I get drinking water on my climbing trip to Machermo peak?

Answer: On your express hike to Machermo peak, manage drinking water by carrying a reusable water bottle and using water purification tablets or a portable filter for local sources. Alternatively, we serve you a bottled water on your climbing journey while you are staying at tent campsite.

Question: Can I charge my mobile phone or camera battery on my trip?

Answer: As you are walking on the min trail, accommodation is on a lodge basis where tourists can recharge their batteries for a small fee. We recommend bringing an extra pair of batteries as a backup. Remember to bring your adapters, and consider taking additional batteries with you.

Answer: Everest Link is an internet service provider founded in 2014 that provides high-speed internet and Wi-Fi in the Everest Region. It is the only internet provider on the Machermo trail, making it the world’s tallest internet service.

If you wish to stay connected with better WIFI to your family, friends, or business, we suggest you buy Everest Link internet. It’s better than other NETWORK connections and you can buy an Everest link card easily in the shops, hotels, or any small lodges in the Everest zone. .

Question: When should I book my trip and what are the payment terms?

Answer: Our trips book up months in advance, and we can also make every effort to accommodate last-minute bookings. Regarding the trip deposit, we prefer a 20% advance deposit of the total price of the trip in order to confirm your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And the rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Kathmandu.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on express Machermo peak climbing?

Answer: We do provide porters to transfer your luggage from Lukla airport. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, every our porter carry a maximum of 24 kilos of your backpack which means 2 guests (12 kg luggage of each guest): 1 porter basis.

Question: Where can I organize my personal climbing gears?

Answer: If you have those climbing gears at your home bring them along with you. If you don’t have them, you can rent them in Kathmandu. Renting gears in Namche Bazaar is extremely expensive.

Question: How much additional money do I need per day?

Answer: You can allocate about US$ 10 to 15 per day to cover you extra expenses to buy bottles of water, chocolates, energy bars and tea coffee during the trip. This amount may vary based on your spending habits. If you prefer a private attached toilet/bathroom during your trek, you should budget accordingly. Note that credit card payments are generally not accepted, so it is advisable to carry cash in Nepalese rupees. ATMs in Lukla and Namche Bazaar frequently run out of cash, especially during high season.
