The Khayar lake trek is one of the best wilderness treks that take you into the soul of the Annapurna with the magnificent and incomparable views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. An ideal optional trail of the Ghorepani – Poonhill Trek with less rough on the way, however, offers perhaps the best view of the complete Annapurna massif.

Holy Khayar Baraha Tal – khayar lake trekking is off the beaten trek Pass through the traditional villages, and lush forest, and you will enjoy the views of the Annapurna massif from Khopra ridge. It is a sacred Lake at 4,500m that offers sunrise and sunset views in a row on Annapurna massif.

As you are hiking poon hill located at an altitude of 3210m, a famous place to see the sunrise over the Annapurna range was worth every grueling step it took to get there. Mount Annapurna first is the eighth-highest mountain on earth and is one of the most magnificent peaks in the world that can be seen from Poon Hill.

Muldhai viewpoint hikes or Hike to khopra danda is an eco-based trek route and we recommend the route only with a professional trekking guide. The trail after Tadapani all the way up to Khopra danda is not well dotted. We can walk through the forest of blooming colorful rhododendrons, and bamboo and take us through the villages of Gurung and Magar ethnics.

Khopra Danda is a moderate-difficult trek but it is not hard for regular hikers. In any case, you must prepare to hike up to 3,640 meters within just 4 days, which comes with a normal 700 meters of hiking every day and 6-7 hours of walking.

Khopra Ridge trek w/ Ram (guide) and Dependra (porter)

Rated 5 out of 5
December 30, 2019

My adult son and I just finished (April 20-26) our trek with this company. I cannot say enough good things about them. Ammar, the owner, responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and from that moment forward he was very helpful and responsive to all of my questions. He coordinated all of our transportation and lodging from the moment of arrival at the airport. Our guide, Ram, met me at the airport and rescued me from the chaos of Kathmandu.

The trek itself was simply amazing. I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. The culture and scenery of the Annapurna region are unlike anything I have ever seen. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the trek as well as Nepali life, in general.

Our porter, Dependra, was also fantastic. If you are considering trekking in Nepal you simply cannot go wrong by choosing Gokyo Treks and Expeditions. The entire staff is supremely professional, friendly and competent. They are wonderful ambassadors for the trekking industry and for Nepal.

Dhanyabad, Gokyo Treks and Expeditions!

I was looking for a serious partner to organize my journey. I found some recommendations for Gokyo Treks and Expedition on a website and I contacted Ammar. Immediately I got answers to my questions, I had some. All answers were very precise and clear, all prices were shown, and nothing is hidden.

I got several ideas for the trekking itinerary and I was completely convinced that Ammar’s Agency is the best partner for me. The guide and porter were well chosen and a super team, the trekking was full of fun.

Also, the homestay in Ammar’s house I will recommend. Quiet and comfortable, the hospitality you won’t find somewhere else. If I will (yes I will) come back to Nepal Ammar and his team will be my partner again. I can strongly recommend them! Thank you, Ammar, team, and family, to make me feel warmly welcome. Come as a guest, leave as a friend.
